I was looking to see where an item of mine I have listed might come up in the search box and came across a listing that says (in part) in the title: Weiss Massive Blue Baguette Glass Rhinestone Bib Necklace
And inside the listing that started at .99¢ and is presently up to $46 - the seller states the necklace is unsigned.
I have lots of jewelry that is in the style of some of the designers and is not signed but I dare not list them because I'm concerned that some buyer will claim the item is not whatever the designer's name is that I put in the title, even thought it would state clearly "unsigned" in the listing.
Any thoughts?
Anyone here list unsigned designer jewelry?
Thanks.

Sounds like a SNAD in the making.
Stay clear, don't let any get on you.
The more general description of what is wrong with that listing: "bad news buried down in the text". Ebay does not protect such sellers, at all.

Many vintage, designer, costume jewelry pieces were unsigned, if you take your jewelry to the costume jewelry board, there are many costume jewelry experts in there, you need to show front and back of the piece, along with the clasp.

Yep..or invest in the books if you want to get serious about it.

If you can't prove the unsigned piece is from a specific designer, you should not be listing it using the designer's name.
This falls under the keyword spamming policy, as well as leaving the SNAD possibility wide open.
