Good Evening.
Can an experienced seller please advise how to create a template --ie: handling time, shipping parameters, return policy, etc -- for listings? Is there a way to do that? It is extremely time consuming to do listings because the defaults in the fields are filled in with everything other than what I want for my listings: I need to change them each and every time I list.
Thank you.

Try using this link - http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ManageTemplate - to create a template. Once you create a template, the create and manage template links should appear on your selling page as the others have described.

I don't know if it is the same w/ the new seller hub, but when you use the advanced listing tool, there was a check-box at the bottom of the form "save as template". Don't know if it is possible w/ quick listing tool as I've never used it.

On the Advanced form, the "Save as a template" option is now at the bottom of the first page, instead of at the end. You have to plan ahead!

Yikes, don't start from scratch every time! Just use an existing listing you're happy with and click on "Sell similar".

Thanks for your reply Post Master.
I use the advanced form to list and I just opened a draft up now. I don't see where it says "save as template" on the bottom. Also, confused you say 'first page' -- I also see one page in total for the form.
PS: I get your other post re: sell similar. I wll do that going forward. Will save me a lot of time!

I always start with "sell similar" from a previous listing. The payment, shipping and returns information is all there. The information I provide is consistent across all my listings, regardless of product.
However, if you want a generic template just click "sell" and then "create template." I don't know if you have to fill in product or category details; if you do, select a category you use often plus a typical title and description.
I keep templates from old listings for books, magazine ads, postcards, glass/pottery and Steiff animals. Each is based on the usual weight, class of mail and category.

Hello there. The "sell similar" I now understand and I can always do that going forward. But as far as templates, I'm sorry for being a real pain the butt, however, I am not seing "create template" anywhere. I opened up the advanced search as if I were going to list something and looked around, but nowhere on it did I see a tab or button or such to "create template". Can you please tell me where on the screen/page this option is? I am overlooking something here

OK. Thanks. I am really doing something wrong. That doesn't show up on my page. Below is what I get on the listing page:

At the top of any eBay screen, see the line that starts "Hi, [your first name]"? Follow that line to the right. See the word "Sell"? Click it. The result is a short page. Look at the last line before a blank white space. It reads:
Create templates | Manage templates
Click the first option.

That last post is what comes up with advanced listing. I just typed in testing and random selected something with jewelry that popped up as a choice to the word 'testing' and the category girls 7-8 was from my last draft listing of a girls clothing item sz 7-8. But nowhere on that page did the words "create template" come up like the page you had a screenshot of.
I use seller hub and advanced listing. Does it make a difference if you use Turbo lister, for instance, and I don't use that? Do you or anyone else know?
If not, I will just use 'sell similar' or look into other ways to create a template. Thanks.

I clicked on the button that says "sell" and it took me right to the seller hub. I then went to create a listing (to make a template of) opening up advanced listing off seller hub and nowhere on the listing page -- not the last line, not anywhere -- does "create template" exist.
Thank you for your help, but something is real messed with this for me.

I too noticed that the create template option is missing, when I start from scratch, advanced form. I have no idea what happened to it. Never tried TL, not bothering to look at the seller hub as I don't need to create a template nor list anything. It isn't where it used to be, not for me. No idea why.

It's so good to know I am not going crazy! I never created a template before, but do know "create template" just isn't an option on my advanced form listing. Re: Seller hub -- it's ust a different way to find/use all your seller related things, I find it to have a great layout and easy navigation -- I strongly prefer it.

It's on the first page.
