So I am new to ebay and noticed there is options for variations. I am starting to build a variation listing with size options as well as mounted print options but I don't see a way of altering the shipping size. I could just base the shipping on the largest print size in a roll but I am also offering mounting so the shipping price would drastically change from a rolled print to a print mounted on wood. Is there a way of offering multiple shipping size options off the same listing?
Oh and a follow up question/comment/my own 2 cents). So in the featured option when doing a listing there is the framing option. Now people probably mean framing as a picture frame however I am wondering if people use this option when they mean a stretched canvas. I know a lot of people sell canvas paintings in rolls for shipping. However I don't do this (yet) as I know most people probably will not stretch the canvas right and if the paint is thick it can crack the paint. (But I am thinking of selling rolls for perhaps thinner painted/charcoal works possibly. It still feels wrong.)Lots of people say that the cost of shipping outweighs having a fully stretched painting but I disagree. The larger the painting the more expensive it can be. A 40 by 40 could cost 250. perhaps more depending on the location and sometimes the shipping costs can be cheaper.(Plus if I stretch the canvas I know I am doing a good job. I don't know the job they will get if they take it too a frame shop.) Plus if the customer tries to do it themselves they may ruin the work.
I should get back to topic. So I am wondering if Ebay should offer a framed painting option or stretched painting option as well as simply picture frame option. I know you can add it yourself but I find when I ebay search I don't find much on it probably as its not a native option. I find this could be confusing for customers as framing can both mean a painting with a wood frame (with canvas over the wood frame creating a stretched canvas) as well as a picture frame. Not sure the best options but that's my finding.
