Hello. I listed an item with a BIN price in error missing a zero in the price. Just as I was about to revise it, a bot purchased it one minute after listing. I contacted the buyer to explain the situation. However, what is the best way to typically deal with a situation like this?

Since you've already contacted the buyer, I'd go ahead and cancel the sale citing, 'Out of Stock'.
I mean, at that price... you are out of stock.
I don't like to recommend that, but in this case it might be your best option. You'll take a metrics hit, but it's better than losing the value of your item. You can bring your metrics back up.
Good luck!

A bot?
When I made the same mistake, I still shipped the item.

A few hundred dollars is too big of a difference to just let it go. Hopefully I don't lose Top Seller status just over a single error like that.

If you have a clean record you can stand this defect once. Just for the record - bots don't purchase anything, but buyers who have alerts may purchase very quickly.

Normally not but two or three like that is not good at all, tread lightly, double check everything, you'll be a better seller in the outcome.
