Re: Limits on ebay sellers

EBay puts restrictions on new sellers and on occasional sellers. You fit into the latter.

The restrictions are on value and number of listings.

You may be allowed 500 one dollar listings, but only one $500 listing*

There are many changes since last year, and occasional sellers run into problems.

For example, are your listings 'mobile friendly'?

Is there any third party code hanging about in them?

Are you clear on the 10% shipping FVF?

Did you realize your customers' cleared payments may still be held for up to 21 days against your customer service?

So what's happening is a Buyer Protection (against confused, inept and occasionally sketchey) sellers, but also a Seller Protection against scammers who prey on newbies.

And let's not go into the question of hacked accounts.

You can call Help and Contact every 30 days, show them your record and ask to have looser restrictions.

*But if your one dollar auction listing goes for $500, that is NOT counted against your numbers.
