I've been with Ebay quite a few years and I find that I have better success selling items on local websites around the area such as Market Place, Next Door and others like Barter and Sell. The nice thing is no sales tax and no percentage to Ebay. Mostly all my sales are pickup with a few with mail, but no problem with mailing as the customer gladly accepts.
The most irritating thing with Ebay is the lost of easily acquiring E-Bucks. I haven't earned anything since March of this year since they change thier policy on how to earn them. I use to enjoy earning those E-Bucks to help offset my purchasing by using those Bucks. How do others feel?

The eBay bucks did come in handy now & then. I looked forward to receiving them and thought it was a nice incentive. But like anything else in life,...nothing lasts for ever.
Have a great day and Happy Selling!

I thought they stopped Ebucks years ago. I don't buy much off Ebay but do now and then and have not received any Ebucks or notifications about them.

I miss the ebay bucks too. The only items I buy on ebay are my shipping supplies from having a store. My favorite sellers have left and there is just way too much crap from China in the jewelry category.

Ebucks is over, no one is earning them anymore.

the 5, 8 or 10 percent added up though...it was a good discount and did lead to many people spending more to get them...it was a good incentive and not that piddly in amount, as you could earn $500 in a three month period, and probably some spent to earn that amount, so over a year would be $2,000 in ebay bucks!

I have a tough time complaining about the presence or absence of free stuff like the shipping supplies coupons and 'gifts' like 8 free relists, but the eBucks actually *boosted* spending here with little investment on the part of eBay - they were piddly, but they would add up for regular buyers - incentives really trip off people's desires to spend as well as acquire and even $5 collected up in eBucks made a difference. Unlike the eBay-sponsored coupons which trained people to just wait, the eBucks trickled in every time someone purchased and were up to us to acquire. I think getting rid of them was not a particularly smart cost-cutting move.

I loved the Ebay bucks program. They took mine away a couple of years ago, so you got to keep yours a lot longer than I did.
