@links to members: For a little over a week, due to ice and snow, the mail did not run. As a matter of fact, mail was not even coming from our local hub to the post office. I have been dinged for the late shipments, but just shy of me delivering them in my car all over the country, there was no way to get them shipped. I myself couldn't even get out of my neighborhood. I've asked they be removed, since none were reported as late by the buyers. Does anyone have any helpful input on how to go about getting these dings removed. E-bay is saying they won't remove, because my reason is not an option of theirs, even though "weather" was one of the options when i requested they be removed. So frustrated.

I will report MY experience with this ... and hope that it is the norm.
I had a batch sitting by the front door for me to take to the post office.
I completely forgot about it till the next day.
DAYAM.
There was one in there that was overdue. I took it in.
About three days later the ding showed on my account.
I said to myself, "**bleep** me, I deserve it" and went on with life like nothing happened (because nothing happened, lol)
About a week after that, so about 10 days after I mailed, I got a message from eBay saying that because of a noted weather event the late was being removed. "Hey eBay ... thanks bro" says me out loud. I didn't even get a red feedback - probably because the buyer was sitting in the middle of a hurricane, or a tornado, or a fire, or a flood or famine or locust invasion ....
Did I deserve it? Nope. But, sometimes luck counts.
Point is ... it appears to me that eBay does blanket amnesties' when bad weather hits large geographical locations.
If it was me ... I would send a message, a nice one.
But mostly, I'd be patient for a few days.
Many problems solve themselves with time and patience.
