LOCAL PICK UP ONLY

A buyer in Puerto Rico used BIN to purchase a seesaw in Iowa that is LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. The buyer left neg fb when I gave him a full refund for his mistake and now ebay refuses to delete the neg fb. I can't believe it. Can someone tell me what is going on at ebay? Ebay won't take phone calls and don't even have a live chat!!!!

@clyde10   A couple of things here ... one issue is how eBay displays the Local Pickup selection on the listing.  They post "Free Local Pickup" right after the word: "Shipping" ... the words "Free" and "Shipping" should NEVER be anywhere near each other where Local Pickup is concerned.  eBay was made aware of this a while ago.

Next, you should post your issue on the Weekly Chat, FB for the reason it was given should be removed, PERIOD.  The Chat is every Wed at 4 PM EST, Discussion tab > Inside eBay > Weekly Chat.

Out of the options offered, what did you select as the reason for cancelling the transaction?

I agree with you completely except you are showing the wrong listing.

The actual listing, for some reason, is different from the normal ebay ambiguity concerning local pickup;

It seems that the buyer doesn't read or speak the English language in this case. I think the feedback can be removed if only the OP could actually reach ebay "customer service" or try again if they already have been told no..

@wesk_36   Thanks for posting your specific listing, I didn't check your Sold list, I just found a random Local Pickup only listing on eBay and posted it.  That screen shot, is it from a mobile device?  Mine was from a PC ... but regardless, since your Buyer was from another country language may have been an issue too.

I have never actually seen a listing for local pickup with the word "shipping" left out on the first page. Normally it's like the one you posted. I'm wondering if ebay is actually changing things?

@pburn  BINGO!  The only thing they bring to the party is the venue.  Sellers do the rest like seeking out and acquiring inventory, stocking it and prepping listings, packing things when they sell, printing labels and shipping.  So imagine if the "venue" ran perfectly, no glitches or flaws, just a software program and platform for others to use and all they do it sit back and collect fees!  They could let a lot of people go and they would not be missed ...
