I keep getting bids on different items from different buyer names that are all listed from the same town and zip in Georgia, USA. I know it's a scam as I am asked to reply via methods other than Ebay authorized, the bids are always well above my asking price and their history with Ebay starts the day they make the bid. It's no use blocking the buyer as it's always a different name. What is my best option? Do I refuse the offer? If so does that affect my standing with Ebay? Do I just let the offer expire? Does that affect my standing? What are your recommendations? Thanks! Jeff

You could try getting rid of most of the auctions and just using fixed price/immediate payment required. I see a couple of things on just a quick look that might do better on auction, but most you can probably put a pretty good ballpark price on it. That way you don't have to deal with bogus bidding and the like.
It's a shame, though, that this is happening, but you're not alone.

What a nuisance! Refusing or ignoring the offers won't affect your account. I'd just ignore them.

Are you referring to OFFERS or BIDS? Those are two different things.
You are free to ignore offers. Bids are basically a commitment to buy. However, those bidders are not going to pay if they win. You need to read up on what to do if/when you have a winning BIDDER who does not pay.

You can automate this process, as well. Agree that anyone trying to scam will probably not pay and just tie up your product for days, another reason to get rid of the auctions at least for now.

Fixed "buy it now" listings with immediate payment required is the only way to avoid these types of scammers. They're not looking to pay, their looking to rob you.

Let me guess. They are trying to scam you out of those puzzles. 🤔
All you need to do is list the purses fixed price with immediate payment required.

Probably failed scammer school.
