Just wondering how Market can be Up when all sellers have been down?

Are you privy to the sales figures of "all sellers"?

Not all sellers are down.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

People post to the Boards about problems and complaints.

Sometimes asking for help, sometimes just to vent.

The others are too busy packing and shipping.

If I remember correctly, those sales numbers are category specific. Category sales will vary by season, month, holiday, etc.

These stats reflect the category you have sold the most in or have the most items listed in (I can't remember which as I don't have that dashboard anymore.) It does not reflect the whole of your inventory listed for sale which can be across a ton of different categories.

That category data does not account for what is selling and what is not selling. If your merchandise is not selling well in those categories, you are either selling the wrong items in the category, your prices are higher than the items that are actually selling if like kind, or you have an issue with your listing that is not getting prospects to convert to buyers.

As an example, a good old fashion "X%" off flash sale can give you something to measure. i.e. 25% off for 24 hours... should give you a quick boost in sales, if not, then....maybe you have the wrong merch or wrong season or listing that don't covert.

Maybe you can provide some specific details on what you are needing to sell and get some opinions on your listings and how they compare to like kind. Might get some suggestions that are helpful from some seasoned experts in your market.

Cheers

I've back selling again since January 10th, and sold over $700 of games so far. I did have a stretch of 4 days with no sales, but I feel hopeful sales will continue to increase as I increase my inventory.

For those who aren't getting any sales, mix things up and find new products to sell. I've tested a number of products over the years, and I know from experience what types of goods sell well, and which don't. If you don't try, then how do you know?

Vintage items can bring fat bank! Video games and movies sell well too.

Another thing to consider is that, if items aren't selling, then maybe you're not reaching the right audience, which might not even be directly on ebay.

You can definitely sell through social media, I've seen increased sales as a result of simply sharing listen games for sale on Twitter. I also have a gaming channel with close to 600 videos, and had over 175,000 views last year alone. I'm getting ready to start advertising my games for sale to these people.

You could also start a blog and write about your products or create stories that are related to your products.

I also have a gaming blog and am getting ready to start advertising there as well. Best of all, when you build an audience on social media, there's no additional cost to advertise, its an audience you already earned (except for Facebook).
