I have been an EBay customer for about 6 years now .I can buy no problems at all but I decided to sell a guitar amp that I wanted to see someone get some use out of, I hadn’t sold since the Paypal days in which I never had any issues.I sold the amp on 6/14 and as of now( 7/15) I still haven’t had my money put into my bank account , over 400$ .I have been on the phone numerous times , confirmed my micro deposits which took several tries and as many weeks, sent pictures of my drivers license, confirmed my account and now they want more account information again. What’s next a blood sample or DNA ? I am very unhappy and frustrated, EBay their has to be a better way.I have been a great buyer and seller with a 100% reputation, why is it so difficult now to get paid, this should be so simple not some frustrating and unnecessary mess.I may start selling elsewhere because of this and I may also start filing consumer complaints.Get this fixed EBay.

Consumer complaints based on what? Businesses change. It's the way of the world and believe it not, when eBay requires all you mentioned it is for your protection. Too many hackers would love to steal from a hard working seller such as yourself. Today's eBay is very different from years ago. We deal with droves of scammers, virtual thieves and fraud. Stolen merchandise is being sold on this site and it's out of control. Don't take it personal. Other sites also require the same type of info to sell on their venue. A lot of these requirements may be mandated by law as well. Just give them what they want and you'll be fine. PS Sell that amp at a buy it now price and NO best offers or you'll be chasing your money due to what I just mentioned above. Too many bored people love to play games with sellers, especially when you run auctions. Save yourself the headache. Buy it now, immediate payment required, no best offers.
Best of luck
Happy Selling.

"Returning" sellers always seem to sell high priced items right out the gate, and run into problems.
Too late for the OP but here's how I helped 2 relatives get back into selling during covid, after a number of years dormant. I had them get a free inline bank account (in this case Discover, just like I use for my online stuff). Then I had them set themselves up with Managed Payments. When they got the go-ahead from MP I had each of them put up a paperback book for $2 BIN with buyer pays calculated media mail shipping.
I then purchased the books, paid them and had them ship them to me. This got them familiar with eBay shipping & printing labels. THEN I had them watch the money. Get familiar with the Payment thingy. I had them watch the clearing and the transfer. Every step until the $$ was in their account. Everything went smooth so I had them list some small "priced to sell" items and do a few transactions before they started selling the "good stuff". Both are still going strong with their part-time eBay business and never had a problem with the money end of it.
YMMV of course.
