I did not receive a notification about a sold item, now I have a negative report. They took the persons money, and never payed them or myself. And, now my bank account is overdrawn... Oh, and they are harder to get a hold of than the Secret Service....

If you Google "contact Secret Service" their contact information, address and phone number, come right up at the top of the page.

It is your job to log in and monitor your account and ship your items on time.
Never rely on email notifications, because neither you nor eBay controls the dozens (or even hundreds) of servers, routers, switches, DNS servers, filters, and applications between their outbox and your inbox.
now I have a negative report
As would be expected.
They took the persons money, and never payed them or myself. And, now my bank account is overdrawn
So you are claiming they stole the entire sale amount from the buyer, and then stole the same amount from your bank account also? And never deposited anything in your bank account and never refunded the buyer?
Sorry, I simply do not believe that happened.

Of course you got an email from Ebay that your item sold, you just overlooked it. And being a new seller, your funds will be held. Have you registered for Managed Payments to get paid? And I see you still have a listing up. And Im afraid with ignoring this sale, your Ebay career will be short lived.

The only reason your bank account is overdrawn is that you spent money that was not yet deposited into your account. And if you never got a notification then hopefully you never shipped the item. And as a new seller who sold an expensive trading card I will be surprised if that transaction will ever have a good outcome for you being that scammers feast upon new sellers and that trading cards are one of the most scammed items.

You could probably get the buyer to revise the negative feedback if you owned up to your mistake and sent the item free to them. As for your accounting of the money I'd need to see bank records to believe your side.

So you got ripped off by a company that allowed you to sell something, notified you of such, received the money on you behalf, held the money, eventually refunded and gave you a strike because you failed to check on your account, you failed to ship the item, and you failed to question why there was $XXX on your bank account.
Perhaps you should revise the title of your rant.

Go to your account settings ..you can find it upper left hand corner of your browser under your Name/ eBay ID click Communication preferences. Next Click Selling activity scroll through the list to ensure Items Sold is checked if not that is why you’re not getting emails. eBay emails can be glitchy at times so don’t rely on email notifications of items sold, always check your eBay seller hub daily for sales.

Old thread 2022. Complaining on other peoples posts is not going to solve your issue. You need to contact eBay via social media on FB and find out exactly what's happening. Here's the link:

These agents are US CS eBay employees and may better serve you and your situation. Many positive posts with their ability to be helpful. In the past they were helpful concerning my issue at hand. Give it a try...it might be worth it.

Looks like @caseya1071 never came back since 2022 to follow up. Still has a listing up, too! Hopefully he knows the ropes by now! I'm saying that in a good way
