I'm using the Advanced Listing Form not the QLT so WHY does eBay now insist on making my default FP duration GTC?

Okay and add to the rant - "return policy deprecated"........really eBay? deprecated? Do you even know the MEANING of some of the words you use?

dep·re·cate
verb
express disapproval of.
"he sniffed in a deprecating way"
synonyms: deplore, abhor, disapprove of, frown on, take a dim view of, take exception to, detest, despise;

You couldn't just say "no longer allowed"????

Deprecating may be EXACTLY the word used to describe eBay's attitude to sellers.

Of course you are right, but I got a laugh out of the thought that many sellers do indeed deprecate the returns policy!

This is what happens when poorly educated people use the Internet as a thesaurus, or are allowed to vote.

Just a guess...the people who sign off on changes are the same ones who make the changes.

NAW

i would bet this is a  small group   of peple whose only job is to  keep suggesting changes.  Insiders   at the company  refer to  this  group as the Meddlers--or the Busywork Devision .  But their official name of  course is     "The Improvements "  Division.

No one at top Management pays any  attention  to  this group.  And they are alowed to   decide on  their own what specific changes  that   will   actually take place.  They are evauated    strictly on  volume of changes per  month. Quality does not apply.Smiley Frustrated

Stockholder meeting on Wed. and stock is flatlining with nothing but process changes (i.e., hope) to bolster future gains.

Maybe some of the stock option guys will start coming in early and have a look around.

They actually do know the meaning of the word.

In technology, "deprecate" and "deprecation" are industry-standard terms used to indicates that a feature has been made obsolete. The fact that you are not aware of this does not make it invalid.

For example:

Microsoft:

Google:

https://developers.google.com/google-apps/realtime/deprecation

Apple:

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xctest/deprecated_symbols

Adobe:

https://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/deprecated-features.html

Doesn't for me - still defaults to 30day.

Apparently you have angered our eBay bot overlords.

(I welcome our new bot overlords. Grovel. Snivel. Please don't throttle my listings oh mighty ones.....)
