I'm using the Advanced Listing Form not the QLT so WHY does eBay now insist on making my default FP duration GTC?

Thx Read for confirming. I was thinking to just keep listing leaving all at 14 since mine are being accepted and just wait til August. But with eBay doing these auto conversions in August, how would they know what policy to convert to? I think much safer for me to control it and just bite the bullet and do it right the first time (30 day buyer pays). I can't trust what eBay would convert to. Thanks again. P.S. I think my guy maybe was hoping he could wait to revise program up to August LoL, but have nagged him more related to fix mobile friendly. So my stuff should now all be fixed until another goofy change.

I have no idea, I have never seen this forcing GTC.
What I would do in this situation is throw away the draft, start anew, change categories, change the title, try many changes until you are not forced to use GTC.
If I could find no way to avoid GTC then I would refuse to publish the listing, and would go on to the next item, or try using a different seller account.
There is no way ebay is ever forcing GTC on a single listing of mine.....
It wasn't a draft, it was a sell similar and I never said eBay was FORCING us to use it, but that it was now showing up as the DEFAULT on the dropdown when it used to default to 30 days.
And it IS sneaky.

Valid or not...why use terminology that 99%+ of the users have never seen or will understand?
Better yet...google obfuscateThe first claim was that the term"deprecated" was used incorrectly.
I demonstrated that it was not, so now the claim has changed and is that 99% of users will fail to understand that widely-used term.
It is clear that at least one person on this board does not understand it. But IMHO your guess that "99% of users" will also not understand it is also incorrect.
I understand the meaning, but it's usually used in conjunction with what is going to happen in the future for certain feature. It doesn't just pop up when something is taken away without any warning.

Ok. Was it sell similar from somebody else's listing? I am interested if perhaps that person chose GTC.
It sure is sneaky.

Hey. He was very helpful to me back in the old days with his knowledge of vinyl records. I had (and still have) boxes and boxes of 70's-80's black genre records. He is, in my opinion, more than an expert related to records. But only communicated with him under a different ID and thru PM. BUT in those days I only PM'd sellers on the Forums (before Lith) for fear I would be chastised for asking something stupid lolol. Not defending, but my years ago experience was positive.

And, considering he is super super specific and detailed, maybe that is why we get what we get. Just a thought.

I would NEVER list using an ebay form. That's why I use Wonderlister now for 5 bucks a month. And everything is kept locally.
