To all ebay sellers:

Be aware from people who report you for no reason at all.

They could be competitors or just someone is not happy until he or she hurt others.

The sad part is EBAY letting them do it --- EBAY IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

I WISH IF EBAY HELP THE SELLER AS MUCH AS EBAY HELP THE BUYER.

I see honest sellers leaving ebay because they were sabotaged by these kind of people.

We all can improve - EBAY AND US, the sellers.

A single report from a single member may be recorded but no action is going to be taken, for the reasons you stated.

But.

If there are multiple reports, action might be taken.

And if you listed a VeRO product (usually brand names, some famous, some obscure) eBay will act fast. They have been burned badly when they didn't.

One thought.

It might not be a good idea to buy and sell on the same account. All those purchases from a single seller might have annoyed someone.

I know when this happens it feels like a personal attack but that is not always the case.  As @femmefan1946 said, a single report from a member or multiple reports from the same member will not cause this to happen.

Tell us what happened.  Maybe we can help.  There is certainly not one reason this can happen, there are many reasons.  If you want us to take a peek, copy the body of the email you got from Ebay into a post.  Make sure you black out any personal info.

If I were to contact ebay and say...

"I would like to report @mam98031 for no reason at all."

I don't think much (if any) action will be taken.
