Can someone help out a computer illiterate ?

I just got a message from ebay that says 54 of my listings contain active content

that needs to be removed- Javascript.

I have no idea what that is or how to fix it.

Does anyone know what I need to do ?

Thanks in advance.      Holly

Javascript

Under the HTML tab get rid of these lines at the bottom of each listing:

Hi, Holly. I looked/scanned at one of your listings (132107778493), and I found that you had Javascript at the end to run a froo-cross promotion thing. That looks to be it.

I unsubscribed to that months ago.

Hey @shipscript  looks like you might be busy this week.  This is the third thread on this in the last few minutes.

I checked a couple of your listings and I didn't see anything that should cause you to get that warning. Do you list through eBay on their site. If so in the discription window at the top click on the HTTP tab and look for any scripts. You should also preview the listing in phone mode to see what your listing looks like on phones.

I looked at that listing & I don't see anything.

I'm confused.

If it is there I don't know what else to do.

I bet it didn't remove some code when it cleared out. Check it out: http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentSandbox.htm.

Thank you so much @marcfl29

This is ridiculous, silly me I thought once I unsubscibed that would take it away.

I should know on ebay it wouldn't be that easy, lol.

I guess I have to go into each listing individually to do this ?

There's no bulk tool that can do that as far as I know...

To make it easier, use the bulk editor, maybe 5 or 10 listings at a time. Then choose Edit/Description and Edit/Individually and the HTML tab.

Select the specified lines and remove (cut). View the result if desired. Then move on in sequence and repeat. Submit the small group and then tackle another few listings.

Unsubscribing does not remove material already on a listing . Before using "sell similar" or "relist," make sure all the unwanted stuff is gone from a template.
