Hello.
I am based in the UK and posted within the UK - all signed for with signature online for proof.
Buyer opened a claim and stated no received, UK eBay closed in my favour l as there was proof they signed for it.
It was reopened today and case was on 'hold'. UK eBay advised that the buyer used a transaction site that is US and so it is being dealt with by them as policies are different, this being so, what is this 'document' that they have asked for?
There is a signature online to show it has been delivered but UK eBay aren't sure what the document is either or what has been asked.

Ok.
Keep an eye on your thread here because a poster has paged 2 ebay staff and they will be able to advise you better, they can access information that we can't access. It might be Monday though before they reply.
I hope this issue is resolved for you..

Okay--so, I want to make sure I understand.
US-registered buyers using ebay.com can neither see the OP's listings nor purchase their items (obviously); but, if I'm a UK buyer, I can log into ebay.com (the US site) and not only see but also purchase the OP's items because I'm registered in the UK.
Did I get that right?

I'm in the UK as you know, but I can't buy anything from the op on this site, ebay.com. I can't see the ops listings, I can see the ops listings on ebay UK, so I would have to use ebay UK to buy from the op.
I asked the op if the item was also listed on ebay.com, but the op said no..

I've just realised there is a difference though between me and the ops buyer.
The buyer is in Scotland, that's where the item was shipped, and I'm in England, both countries are in the UK, but I don't know if that makes a difference. Perhaps Scottish buyers can view the ops items on ebay.com, at the moment I'm not sure.

As *madison said, OP's items are on ebay.co.uk only, nobody on ebay.com can view them, and I don't think anyone can use ebay.com to purchase them.
Going to have to wait and see what the blues say on Monday.
Just had a thought about the above if ignoring search visibility.... It may be possible to purchase the item if it is accessed directly.
Locate item on ebay.co.uk in search, grab item number and craft an ebay.com item URL, or just edit URL changing ebay.co.uk to ebay.com and there is the item. Worked like a champ.
Here in California I was able to view the listing on the UK site, change the URL to the US site, add it to my cart, change my address in the cart to a London one after it whined about not shipping to California, and it was good to go and be paid for.
Turns out the same using a shipping address in Scotland.
So it looks like the transaction could have been on ebay.com (although how the buyer arrived there is a question - unlikely they did what I did)

Hi,
I can confirm this morning US eBay debited my account for the amount in favour of the buyer eventhough there was proof as it was signed for!
Out of pocket and no item!
I'm going to close my eBay account as nothing but trouble!

I've reread this (and the other thread) and it is unclear what exactly occured (and if I can't understand it, the eBay blues may not either)
Buyer opened an INR case, you provided proof of delivery, and case was decided i your favor?
Buyer the opened a SNAD (significantly not as described) case and you lost?
If that is the case, your proof of delivery doesn't matter - that is only useful for an INR defense.
AN it remains unclear what the US site has to do with this. Are you saying the buyer opened the SNAD case on the ebay.com US site?
If a SNAD case was opened, your only possible responses were to refund and let buyer keep item, or provide a return shipping label, receive the item back, and refund.
As I said, what transpired here is unclear.

No - the buyer opened a item not received and it was closed in my favour. As they purchased through .com, US got involved and reopened the item not received asking for information from the buyer of where the item was posted too via the tracking.
Due to this, they went in the buyers favour as it's unclear to where the parcel was left and who signed for it.
So I paid extra for a signature, which was a waste. So I'm now trying to get the money back through Myhermes.

Ok but still unclear.
I don't know what "where the item was posted too via the tracking." means.
All that matters is that you show online tracking that shows it delivered to the zip code (postal code) of the address used at checkout. You are covered in that case. If the item value was $750 or more, an online viewable signature is required also.
It doesn't matter where the parcel was left or who signed for it - if you satisfied the shipping and any signature requirements you are covered by eBay and PayPal seller protections against the INR. (If eBay or PayPal want to issue the buyer a courtesy refund from their own monies that is their business).
If those conditions were met, you need to wait for the blues here to chime in on Monday when their workweek begins, and maybe see about getting an appeal rolling then.

eBay has stated that the tracking provided doesn't state where the parcel was actually left or who signed for it but as far as in I'm aware it says the buyers house.
I can't reopen this now as it was in the buyers favour and I need to contact Myhermes, which I have done and they are investigating it but contacting the driver.

There has been an update!
Myhermes has informed me that their driver actually posted the item through the buyers door and didn't get a signature so I'm assuming the signature was the drivers.
The buyer probably didn't receive the item then so Myhermes are dealing with this now

Was it over $750 sale? (if not, the signature does not matter and was not required to be protected if tracking shows delivery.)
