Item discription for sports cards

Apparently the item description section of the listing or the accuracy of the listing no longer matters with eBay. I received a negative from a buyer stating I never mentioned  the creases on the card, a 1968 Topps Roger Maris card which the buyer brought at a cheap price because of the condition, the only problem I have with this is that in the item description I clearly state "Card has light creases" and I mention the condition being Very Good but apparently this does not matter. The buyer was able to post negative feedback stating i did not mention this in the listing which is untrue and eBay refused to remove the false feedback. This seems wrong to me and I was told by eBay even though my listing was accurate this did not matter. Can someone please explain this to me?

You replied well to the negative feedback, and given your track record, the one negative isn't affecting your 100% positive.  Have you asked the buyer to remove the feedback?

They can do that, I have often placed the defect in the listing title, that seems to keep most from making a major thing about that. You can have an item that you describe exactly, and the buyer can dispute it, make you accept a return and refund them, ship you a turd in a box instead of the item and you are basically unable to stop them. Most buyers do not do these things, any I run across that do get blocked from future purchases on all my accounts.

Yikes. Glad i didn't get a turd in the mail. The buyer didn't return the item just left the negative feedback which after a few more calls i was able to get removed. Thank you for your comment.

hi, you are very consistent in putting crease or no crease in your description. that is great. I have seen other sellers just add the word (crease) in the title. that way people who use their phone can know that the card has a crease. the descriptions on phone is not shown unless you click on description   sometimes and people don't always bother to click and read it.

just a suggestion.

Here's what I think the issue is...

On my desktop computer, I can see the Item Description field immediately as I scroll down a listing.

On the Ebay app on my phone, I have to look for a link that takes me to the Item Description field.  It is VERY EASY to miss.  And I am LOOKING for it. I think the casual buyer will miss that very important field.

It is something I feel Ebay needs to fix somehow
