Item changed in purchase from what i bought

I bought an item A (6 pcs egglettes plastic boiled eggs...) from a seller about a month ago. After the purchase i got an email that i bought that specific A item and also that specific A item was shown in my purchases some days after. Today i got in my purchases and saw that instead of that specific A item it is shown that i bought another B item (6 pcs head towels for women). I double checked my email in case I really ordered the B item but the email confirmation is about the A item. Is that even possible?

Sellers can't change stuff like that.  There is absolutely no way for us to do that.  If you don't want or like what you recieved, the file for a request for return with your seller.

I deleted this post because the OP said the item was received but in a later post, said it wasn't received.

Got in my purchases ~ received the items as they were delivered.

It seems the OP meant I looked at my Purchase History.

Thanks for the fast reply. I know that this is not possible thats why i made the question. But it seems that somethings wrong. There is no combatibility between my purchased confirmation email with the item in my purchase item. It's very strange. P.s. the item did not arrived yet so i dont know which one of them i will get.

Then wait until it arrives.  As long as you get what you ordered for the price you ordered it for, all will be fine.  If you get something you didn't order, the open a Request for Return.

Please come back and tell what you find when you receive your package.  Good Luck!

It's possible that the listing was changed. It's not possible that your order was changed.

Sellers can update multi quantity good 'til canceled listings even after there are sales on that item. You can still view the listing as it appeared at the time of your purchase through your purchase history and your order details pages.

When you view the listing there should also be a message on the top of the page that says you purchased the item and shows a link to view the original listing.

Sellers have the ability to change multi quantity listings like this. For example, a seller listed a set of 3 items, has exhausted their inventory and has a single item left - they can change the listing to reflect the single item and sell off the last one. That's just one example of a legitimate change. This only changes the active listing, it does not impact any existing orders.

Sellers who change the item completely as you described are trying to game the system. They are either avoiding listing fees, or they are trying to manipulate search since that listing already has a purchase history it gets better placement.

Based on the information you provided this sounds like a seller in China who is trying to game the system and achieve better search placement for a new item.

It is not a selling practice I would condone, but it's also not a reason to worry about the order you placed. It should have no bearing on your order.

Good night and good luck

OP, no need to worry, because the exact item you purchased and all your transaction details will still be visible to eBay c-s.  Fwiw, the situation the OP is describing does happen occasionally (in my experience by off shore sellers).  What's happened is that the seller switched items offered without changing the MPN# and or UPC.  The eBay system by default shows the current version of the listing in the buyers purchase history. The old item with pictures and etc is still there just under "listing revisions".  My guess is that it's done create a listing that has a high conversion rate with a history of big unit sales and then the new item piggybacks on the previous item's sales history - even though the current item shown to buyers is not the same one that generated the big sales.

Are you saying eBay recycles Item numbers?

If the Item has drop down menus in it to choose the product you want and you fail to chooses the correct one I can see this happening, as it has happened to me. One times had keyboard black, white or keyboard w/mouse, and mouse by itself. the default was for the mouse by itself and I thought it was for the black keyboard. When it arrived I had a mouse only went back to the page and sure enough I forgot to scroll down and click the black key board. But the Seller let me keep the mouse and sent me a black keyboard.

The one I hated was having the buyer return an item we did not sell them. We got their trash and they got their money back and our NWT item. I blocked that buyer after that and though I could only give them a good feedback I wrote in it what they did to warn others.

A seller can progressively change a multi-quantity listing to other items, both pictures and text, after previous items have already been purchased. Please don't misinform. @pploutarchou click See original listing or See item you purchased to see your item A listing.

Thank you, but I didn't say anything about changing a listing.  The OP's concern is that the seller changed the Purchase Agreement / Purchase Record.

Sellers can not change a purchase by a buyer.  They have absolutely no ability to do that.

Changing a live listing is a completely separate / different subject.
