Item Specifics--weird error

I am spending time this afternoon to fill in all of the "missing" item specifics.  Bunch of busy work!  Any way, I did my first category and updated all of them.  I am now on my second store category and halfway through I get this weird error message.  I'm not the seller!  Anyone else??

Try backing out of the site and back in, clearing cookies and the like.  For some reason in the last week or so there have been even more glitches than usual.

Have you tried logging OUT then logging back IN?

It took three tries for me to log in this morning - kept saying 'something went wrong, try again'.

Yes, I had to back out BUT why should I??  It isn't my error and it is so annoying!!   Half of these item have nothing to do with my listing, which is why I didn't fill them in in the first place.   I had already done more than 20, why the error all of a sudden?

It helps if you read the error message in a Maury Povich voice:

"You are... NOT! THE SELLER!"

You may be able to avoid backing out by refreshing another eBay tab and making sure you are signed in there.

Tried to post here...I think it went to oblivion.  Then it wanted me to log back in.  I did, and then I got 2 error messages in a row.  Karma maybe?

Sorry if this ends up being a duplicate but a lot of the time when I buy something eBay makes me log back in AFTER the sale is complete and paid for.  Makes no sense, if it wasn't really me why AFTER the sale?

I have 2 windows open and am logged in on both of them.  No reason for it.  It is working fine...for now.

The glitches are nutso lately...I got the error message again trying to get back to the mail forum list.  That's three in just a few minutes.  If I didn't love buying here so much I'd just give up.

From my experience with item specifics over the past many many many many months you can fill in all fields and show 100% on the meter and the system will still tell you you are missing information after you hit send. Not really what one can call backwards compatible. The other concept that is not build into the system happens where something is a definite or future requirement but the answer is unknown by the seller. N/A is not always an option and updating information on mixed lot listings will cause really bad headaches.
