Item Location

I know I'm not the only seller who has had that sick feeling, when you go to ship a sold item and you can't find it!  usually hiding in plain sight but not the shape, size, color, packaging you thought you remembered.

I think it would be awesome to have a blank field on the listing page, that we could populate with the item's location.   i.e.  Shelf 3 Bin C,  Garage Cabinet, Box 3, etc.  whatever your system is.   wouldn't need to be visible to buyers but pop up on the items ready to ship page!  suggested it a while back on the Facebook page but nothing came of it.  anyone else see a need?    Ebay , you lurking?

From the Manage Active Listing page use the Custom label (SKU)

You can add the label on the page without having to open the listing.  Each label has to be different.  I use my location first and then my unique item number after the location.  This information prints out when a sale

is made.

This is how it is displayed after a sale.

You can use the custom label for that.

In your active listings in the Seller Hub, there's a note option you can use for that.

@aspme

I can see what your saying after viewing all those car parts, yikes!

I've seen other sellers upon photographing their items they will have an inventory number on bottom corner of picture.

     How on earth do you keep everything straight right now, wow must be a job!

Try to group things by brand or part type, as my inventory grew it proved to be a challenge.  My shelving is all numbered just didn't have a place to record locations, now that I've learned about Custom label/SKU  I think it will work out better!
