3 times now!!
Yesterday, I had a customer open a return saying that I sent the wrong Haviland teacups/saucers. They were blue & white and she still wanted the right ones. I shot off a message right away telling her what might be the problem.
Wait for it...
The tissue paper!! (White with blue eBay logo and carts). Then I called her and she was so nice and felt so silly, but I told her it wasn't a problem whatsoever and that she wasn't the only one - only that I didn't want her to ship them back. She had unwrapped a bit, saw the blue & white, and didn't want to undo all of of bubble only to have to pack them back up. I actually appreciate if a return comes back wrapped up the same way I sent it.
She closed the return using "Buyer accidentally started a return."
Yes, 3 times now. 2 other times were with the snowflake ebay tissue. I stopped using it, and thought I was safe. Everyone had a chuckle, even me, except for the lingering thought of what it would do to my metrics.
Am I entitled to a refund on 2 reams of tissue?? lol 😁 Could these snad return requests hurt me?

Rather than waste the tissue paper you can keep using it but stick a note to the outside of the bubble letting buyers know it's multi-colored wrapping. You can print the note on a sheet of address labels if you have them so it's fast and easy to stick them on.

Glad you’re taking it all in stride. I know I’d be kind of really p—ssed off if I were being routinely dinged by buyers prematurely opening return cases over issues that might have been easily resolved if they’d simply contacted me first. That’s why, in my shipping comments, I encourage buyers with questions or concerns to get in touch with me before rating me or filing return cases.

Maybe you could put a piece of the tissue paper at the top of the box, so the buyer will see it when they open the box, or wrap it around the bubble wrap as the final layer.

I actually like this idea quite a bit. A little gentle crumple of it added to the box over the bubble pod, but not wrapping it. It'll make it more gift-like too 😃

LOL, for about 10 seconds I almost did it myself.....
Opened a purchase this am, and confusedly wondered who sent me jadite (that minty green under the bubble wrap) - I have a ton, and haven’t bought any in 10 or more years.
Then I remembered this thread!!!!
Yup, it was the tissue paper.
LOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂

At least you didn't run to SNAD return like 2 of mine did. (I don't remember if the 3rd one did or just msg'd me)
