I have an eBay store where I sell 2x3" and 2 1/4" magnets. For the past several years I've had a promotion running that offers "buy 3, get 1 free" on all magnets. Never had an issue until about a week ago - it just stopped applying the discount to customers. The expiration date is good, so it's not that. I tried deleting the promotions and re-entering them, still not working. Ebay customer service is a complete joke - I've been in contact with them every day for the past 4 days and they do nothing - they keep telling me to wait 24-48 hours for changes to take effect.
When I set up the discount after I choose "select items" I click on the "create rules" so that I can include everything in my store in the 2x3 and 2 1/4" magnet categories. Everything looks good so I click "launch" and the promotion shows as active but it is not working AT ALL. I need this promotion to work this way since I have over 2000 items listed and they are in different categories. As stated, this has been working this way for me for the past several years. Not anymore! Any help or suggestions would be appreciated since eBay customer service seems to be suffering from cranial rectal insertion.
I actually have a "work around" sort of working now - I had to manually select items to include in the promotion, but it limits you to 500 at a time - so I've created several promotions with 500 items on each one - but I've discovered that it does not apply the discount unless the customer purchases items from the same group. So, if the pick 2 from group A and 2 from group B, the discount is not applied.
What to do? Is there someone else at eBay I can contact? I pay a ridiculous amount for my eBay store and fees on top of that, so I don't think I'm asking for too much.
