Hello. I was wondering if anyone experienced similar issue. I sell perfume samples. All are the original ones from the manufacturer and are bought from the reputable sources. I have about 240 variations within one listing. Yesterday I tried to make quantity changes to one of the items and had problem saving my listing. It said the problem appeared and that the perfume must be in the original container. Not sure what the problem is since I’ve had this listing for about 6 months and never had problem saving changes. They are all original it’s just the sizes are small since they are sample vials.
Please help me to overcome this issue

I actually did not think you could sell manufacturers samples of perfumes etc on eBay

You can. There are tons of listing for them. I also saw other people making changes to theirs recently. So not sure why I’m the one experiencing a problem.

Just because you see others doing it doesn’t make it alright. Sometimes it takes eBay a while to catch the violations.

The sample vials are in the original container that the manufacturer put them in. I don't see how that particular 'rule' would apply unless ebay thinks these are being repackaged. But even then, I would think that they would take down the listing instead of just not allowing it to be revised.

I contacted Ebay customer service and they advised that apparently the sale of samples is not allowed. Although, I didn't see it being mentioned in their policy. This whole thing just doesn't make sense.

I just re-read that and no not see anything about "samples" either. If they are manufacturer samples, sealed and unexpired.....I know you cannot sell repackaged or used.
