I am having an issue with an obsessive buyer. Last year I sold a sports shirt to a buyer. Well accepted an offer which means they didn't have to pay right away. Had issues with paypal holds/not enough money/etc. Ended up cancelling. The next month they asked to purchase the relisted item saying they will have enough around Christmas. (I admit this was my being too nice). Of course they never paid and stopped replying. So naturally I cancel the order and relist it. This time I block the user from all future purchases. Now they are messaging me to lift the block so they can buy it "finally". I haven't responded. Now they are registering different names to try to buy. Is there a way to block somebody from messaging or report the user to ebay? Any help, as always, is appreciated.

Well, that is 1 determined non paying buyer 😁
Obviously they are just going to keep not paying you so if you receive messages from them(make sure it is them) "Hey I'm back to finally buy this shirt" , block that new user ID also
You could collect the information and spend time trying to prove to eBay but not sure, never been through that scenario

Could you just list is as a standard non-offer auction and let eBay handle being the intermediary for the payment, where the buyer does have to pay before eBay clears you to ship?

Oh Jeeze. I just checked. It IS the same person. They just changed their user name hahaha. All their feedback and sign up date on ebay is the same. The feedback has comments saying they pulled the same thing with them.

You've been trying to sell it since last year without success.
I would just end the listing and stop trying to sell it here.

I agree to just de-list the shirt. I'd not want to sell it to him, anyway, because maybe he's legit strapped for money, but maybe when he receives it there will be a "problem" which can only be solved with a *large* partial refund, a pint of blood or whatever. When I've been too nice in these situations before it has always come back to bite me. Just remove the source of the problem for now.

I understand that thought, but it is my most watched item and I do have it listed higher than my other items because it is rare and the only one on this site. If I wanted to I could sell it in 45 seconds if I adjusted the price, and that mentality can be applied to 95% of the listings here. I recognize the difference between "trying"/needing to sell it and just having it up at a premium for somebody (with funds) to have a rare cool item for their collection. I am very fair with my offers and go above and beyond to make sure everyone comes out happy and this is one of those rare times it has bit me. I think I just answered my own question. Thanks everyone for your take on this. Appreciate it!

Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.

When you add a person to your BBL list make sure you have the button turned on that keeps them from contacting you. Take a pro-active approach with this person's new ID and put them in your BBL before they have a chance to bid on anything.

rofl. So I go to look at your listings expecting to see many shirts. Wowzapaboobza!
I didn't see that coming.
There has to be a way to ditch your bad browser who can't pay. You can DM me about the specific shirt they want. Seems like all the **bleep**s you sell are rare and expensive.
