Issue with Service metrics

Hello everyone. I have an issue with my service metrics.  My current service metrics for item not as described cases will be over 2% which is considered as very high. I have 7 cases which was falsely opened by buyers and it is easy to prove that items were as described (mostly issue was with fitting, since we sell auto parts and even case comments show this).

I have tried to contact to eBay couple times, also reported the buyers for false reasons but I still have same number of cases not as described.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Did you not handle these SNADs yourself?  Typically, if you handle them, there is no penalty to your Metrics.  Did e-Bay step in on all of these?  Did you not approve/accept the return(s)?

Re: Issue with Service metrics

Everyone dealt with it. There is no solution. You will not make Ebay clean the metrics. Going forward you may prevent those cases from showing on your metrics if you accept FREE returns within 30 days.  Sorry.

Re: Issue with Service metrics

Thank you for your response.  All returns were smooth, ebay didn't step in any cases. Buyers open return for not as described reason and I have issued a full refund to all buyers. I have 0% for cases closed without seller resolution. My concern is regarding my rate of item not as described.

What is SNADs?

@katzrul15

Are you thinking of seller defects?  Item not as described requests count and stay on a seller’s  metrics just because the request was opened.  It doesn’t matter how the return was handled by the seller or if the item was ever returned.

Re: Issue with Service metrics

It seems that auto part sellers are affected by this quite a bit just because of the nature of the business.
SNAD- significantly not as described.  It’s just another way of describing an item not as described (INAD)

Re: Issue with Service metrics

Sorry to hear @mta-auto-parts, but as long as you stay below 10 in the category then the extra fees won't kick in. I have the same kind of strikes on my account that were buyer's remorse filed as SNAD. I reported the buyers, eBay confirmed the abuse by sending me shipping label credits, yet the strikes are still on my service metrics. I wish I had some brilliant advice for us both.
