I got this message (through eBay) last night.
"Hi the add I was looking at showed free shipping, I can send a screenshot, Thank you, Barbara"
I check my item and my shipping showed just fine but...
My reply: "Hi,Yes, please send that. I just checked on my end and it doesn't show that. Thanks!"

That's because it can only be treated like an attachment, the messages system doesn't support copy/paste for images.

"All is well" reminds me of how those old Nigerian Prince letters would end..
And does it matter? If you aren't offering free shipping, it matters not.
"Sorry Barbara that must be a glitch on your end, the shipping for that item is: $14.00 have a nice day"

Thanks to you and everyone else who answered. I knew that I should not communicate outside of eBay (thanks to this board) but the phrase which clinched it was the "all is well." I did block her by the way. Thanks, again 😊

This is what I would have done after receiving the FIRST message:
Ignore and do not respond
Block
Move on

Why would she even send a message saying the "add" had free shipping and offer to send a screenshot to "prove it"? (Was she referring to the listing itself or to one of the "similar for sale" photos? Sounds like she may just be trying to get free shipping on your item and she thinks you will give her free shipping if you think your "add" is wrong.
I, also, would ignore and block her.

@pickapaper , my reading of that (granted, it's very unclear, so this is just my interpretation) was that she was trying to say that @flp's listing showed Free Shipping when she viewed it, and that they had changed it. That doesn't mean that was true, but that's what I think Barbara was trying to say.

The bug showing FS on Mobile is the first thing I thought of. But I also haven't heard much abt that lately, so I assume it's gone. I wouldn't think scam, but then again I don't sell high scam items, so my thought would be confused buyer, but it wouldn't matter, I'd just tell her eBay glitch & the shipping charge is XYZ.
IDK why they couldn't do a screen shot as a photo & attach it, but if they're not tech savvy, they may not realize they can do that. I don't jump to scam immediately, but like I said, I don't sell high scam items.

You may be right. Who knows?
Some people have mentioned a glitch on the mobile listings. I don't "do" eBay on my phone so I don't know what listings show or don't show. I guess I was just thinking that she could have explained herself a little better and/or just asked for clarification about whether shipping is free or not - and not asked for a personal email. But she may be perfectly innocent and just not know better. As I said, who knows?

If I recall right your ebay sellers protection is contingent to using strictly ebay, if you provide your email you risk not only getting scammed, but also forfeiting your protection. If I recall right it is also against ebays terms of service to disclose information like this in taking transactions off site.
I would judge this as a scam, I ran into a scam like this when I'd listed art for sale in the past. Especially on antiques.
