Is there a way to prevent eBay from indexing your listings on the web

I have a website and an eBay store, but have been getting beat by my own eBay listings. Any ideas on how I can stop it?

Great question... are you merely duplicating the items?  That would be the root of the problem.

I would do everything possible to make the listings as different as possible -- photos, title, price, the works.

Otherwise, the first thing that comes to mind is to sabotage your eBay listing by omitting as much relevant information as possible, or altering said information so that your item is not represented properly... not a terribly good idea, of course.

Conversely, since Google etc. like fresh content, update your website every single day with new details or prose of some sort.  Once Google detects that there are daily changes to the item in question, it will return again and again to check and thereby give that page heightened exposure (at least in theory).

Quite frankly, this is why I closed my own online commerce website 5 years ago.  eBay changes ever second of the day and, like AMZ and of course the websites of the major daily newspapers in this country, is impossible to beat in terms of search engine optimization/ appeal to search engines.  (PS: I built my site with Drupal, which claims to have the most refined and sophisticated SEO modules available.)

eBay seller since 1999. This is a posting ID.
