Is there a way to customize Seller Hub Searches?

Anyone else irritated with the Seller Hub Search? My beef is primarily with the Orders Tab...

I understand WHY the Orders Tab automatically shows orders awaiting shipment (Big lights and sirens -- hey, ship this!!)...

I don't like that it automatically does that, I rather it show me "All Orders". My orders awaiting shipment are always most recent and show up at the top of the "All Orders" tab anyways (unless I changed chronology which would be silly).

I don't like that it automatically has me search orders by "buyers username". I wish it was automatically by Item Title.

Are there ways to customize this? I have no use for "Orders Awaiting Shipment" or "buyers username" search as my default. It just requires more clicks and frustration. I know this is petty ... but these are the tools I use and I should have them customizable to fit my needs to make my work more efficient. I could probably list a whole lot more things I want to change or customize like this, simple things, that would require a lot less needless clicking/selecting.

Are there ways to customize this?

If you hover over the tab, it gives you a drop down and you can click on "ALL Orders"

If you look to the right of "buyer user name" , there is a dropdown arrow, click on that.........and you can choose what to search for, including title............

If you are asking if those things can be customize to be the defaults.........I see no way to do that.......

Maybe I should have been more clear...

YES I know that. I am asking if I can change the default setting so I don't have to click into those drop down menus each and every single time. There should be a way to customize it, I understand if there isn't, just wanted to ask if anyone knew of one. I guess I wasn't as clear as I thought when I spoke of them being defaults, wanting to change those defaults, and complaining how it's petty and requires more clicks for me to by-pass default.

I do not have a seller account, so I have not used Seller Hub directly, but some eBay pages will store those user selectable page parameters directly in the page address. If Seller Hub is like that, you may be able to set up the page the way you prefer, and then bookmark the page. Then use the bookmark instead of eBay's link to load the page with your preferences.

Ah, great idea........ @eburtonlab

You have to go to the All Orders page, select title and type something into it......and then do the search and save it as a bookmark.    When you use it........you just wipe out the previous search and type in a new one..

presumably the page will update.

Ah, I am always the fan of a work around or alternative idea, so I appreciate you being innovative here. I actually never use bookmarks for anything, so it's a bit out of the norm for me and I don't know how much the benefit there outweighs the change in habits etc.

The seller hub has neatly organized tabs all in one place for quick access to everything, so it's a little less convenient to have it bookmarked, and like I said, my complaint is really honestly super petty, all I need to do is open one or two drop down menus depending on what I'm doing and change the parameters, so we aren't talking about saving a ton of work.

I just wish EBay was more thoughtful in adding SUPER simple customizable features to make everything more efficient for the individual. I have plenty of things like this I wish I could customize to make the work flow easier, and they are far from drastic changes to the platform, it's just adding the ability to change the default setting from one option to another in the same drop down menu to suit your needs.

Again, petty, but honestly, I'm just asking for better functionality.

If I had a bookmark for every situation in which I wanted a simple customizable change like this, and used the bookmark as a work around, it would in turn become SUPER inefficient. Again, I appreciate the concept, but it becomes six or half a dozen.

@dhbookds

@eburtonlab

UPDATE: Ok... No need to complain about it anymore. I have something new to complain about...

Still upset I can't change "Awaiting orders" to "All Orders" as a default setting.

BUT the search bar/criteria, let's go through the criteria and their functionality for searches. So far this is what I have found to be true after running some tests.

"Buyer Username" -- WORKS, but needs EXACT username (no "contains")

"Buyer Name" -- DOES NOT WORK. Does not accept a partial or full/exact name. Will not return any results.

"Order Number" -- WORKS but needs EXACT username

"Sales Record Number" -- Don't know what this is, I have never used it, I think it's a custom thing?

"Item Title" -- THE EXACT THING I WANTED TO USE -- DOES NOT WORK -- DOES NOT DO KEYWORD SEARCH OR AN EXACT TITLE SEARCH. COPY AND PASTE A TITLE, GET 0 RESULTS.

"Item ID" -- WORKS

"Custom SKU" -- I don't use this, so I can't test it.

I know the work around. Go to your profile, and search under Sold Listings and you can see sold listings for the past 90 days in a searchable fashion that would allow keywords or exact titles for that matter, but that means there is no way (to my knowledge) to "search" previous orders older than 90 days as your sold listings only go back so far.. You have to scroll and look through "All Orders"

Don't have time to check all, but did check titles and that works for me both with the exact title and keyword.  I did notice that the "choice" could revert back to buyer user name.......  The 90 day window has always been there.......not sure what you need  more than that for, but you can get listings to show up to a year in Terapeak.......but it will only be the title/price.....you can't get back to the listing itself.

Weird... I was sitting there for like a good 15-20 minutes refreshing, closing it out and reopening it, reselecting title as the filter. I noticed the reversion to buyer username and fixed it when it happened but the god blessed thing would not work at all for me. Ive had all features of the Seller Hub working and not working on and off, and not just like I was doing something wrong in the times it wasn't working, like serious glitches. Will try again today, see what happens. Obviously some of it worked for me so I knew what I was doing to that extent, so I'm pretty positive there were just some serious glitches going on for me last night.
