Is there a way to block Zero bidders (Non Payers)...

Is there a way to stop those bidders that run up your auction at the last minute that have a new account (zero feedback).  We have had this happen to us several times and than there are the ones with the low feedback scores but all the feedback says to beware of this buyer and don't sell to them.  But since you can't give negative feedback anymore they aren't flagged as a problem buyer.  Ever since disabled the ability to give negative feedback is when this problem has gotten worse for us.  We end up having to cancel sales, try and offer it to the bidder before that last one, but never a guarantee. Any ideas, suggestions.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Non paying bidders are not restricted to 0 FB buyers.  They can be eBayers who have hundreds of FBs.

And, hopefully, you know this, but those sellers who are leaving that kind of wording in their FB for buyers are violating one of eBay's rules -- buyers CANNOT be given negative FB and that includes positive FB with negative wording.  Sellers who leave that kind of feedbck are risking losing their privilege to sell on eBay.

If a seller wants to sell on eBay, he needs to accept the risk that he will have non-payers.  It's a fact of life here. What you can do is make sure you have set your restrictions so that you don't have to entertain bids or purchases from buyers with two nonpaying strikes in twelve months.  Have you done that?

My suggestion is to list all your items at a fixed buy now price with immediate payment required.  Scammers and sport bidders tend to steer clear of those type of listings.  Good luck what ever you decide.

You can still leave negative feedback but not after 7 days as they normally had, wait till ebay sends you the reminder then leave it.

I was opening case after case until they took that away, set your buyer requirements a bit higher in buyer requirements and they will be able to go near you again. The options to request that the buyers have at least X amount of positive feedbacks and no non payment strikes is there as well. Then go to Block buyers list and add them there as well

Please Ebay will never remove privileges' on ebay permanently without giving a warning first. Let's keep the kastopo nonsense to a minimum here ok.

I agree but it does not eliminate them from sending you a message asking for a lower price.

Sellers can't leave negative feedback.

Ebay has not taken away the unpaid item function. Instead of having to wait 2 and then 4 days, now you just have to wait 4 days. You can have ebay automatically cancel the transaction after 4 days or you can do it yourself. The buyer still gets a strike.

A seller cannot leave a negative feedback for a buyer.   Period.   Been that way since 2008.

eBay has not taken away the unpaid item process; they have streamlined it.  Now, instead of opening a case after two days and then waiting 4 more days to close it (total: 6 days), you can now cancel a transaction after 4 days, citing "buyer didn't pay."  That's 2 days faster than before.

There is no option to require bidders/buyers to have X amount of feedback; you can't block bidders who have zero or positive feedback; you can only block members who have a negative feedback score which is extremely rare nowadays because  it's not possible for a seller to leave a negative or neutral rating for a buyer.  There is an option to block low-feedback buyers from purchasing more than one item in ten days, but you can't block that first item.

You can block a member who has 2 or more strikes in the past 12 months; that's the strictest combination. You can't block a member who has just one strike.

Took what away? You can cancel after 96 hours, citing buyer did not pay, your FVF will be refunded, that buyer gets a strike and you are free to relist.

Where is there an option to request that buyers have at least  a certain amount of positive feedbacks?

Don't believe I stated privileges would be removed without warning.

Sellers cannot leave negative feedback for buyers.

Again, a seller who leaves negative FB for a buyer is risking a defect.

Have no idea how many defects it requires to be permanently banned, but it's not many.

("Gestapo again?")

I think "0" buyers should be banned from ebay!
