Is the sales amount of a return-in-process not held from me because I'm a TRS?

A buyer started a return on May 6 and they went ahead and printed the return shipping label but it hasn't shown any postal scans yet.  Fingers crossed this'll be one of those that just never ships back.  But in the meantime, I think this may be my first return since I was onboarded to Managed Payments in March of 2021, and I didn't realize until today that the $221 is not on hold, but now that I do, I wonder why.  Is it because I'm on MP, or because I'm a Top Rated Seller, or what?

Haven't figure if its good or bad yet, sales have tanked and funds are being deposited much faster now. Rather have them hold it then have to pull from my bank account and not having funds then getting hit by insufficient fee at my bank.

But if your sales have tanked, then even if they were holding funds for a return in progress, they might not be enough.  Meanwhile the only way your bank could be hit with NSF would be if Ebay issued a charge against your account without your approval.  When you receive an item back for a refund, you get 2 (or maybe 3?) days to issue the refund, from the date that tracking shows the return item delivered to your address.  Plus you would know from the day that the buyer started the return, so that's several days total to get the money in the right bank account, and then hit the 'Issue Refund' button at your own will.

Thank you but I don't recall ever receiving an email like that.  I just searched my messages (from Ebay) with terms like 'hold' and 'congratulations' but there were no results.
