Is scheduling an auction in advance no longer allowed?

I'm trying to create an eBay listing, and eBay isn't giving me the option to schedule my auction for a future time.  Is this a temporary glitch, or is it a new policy?

I use the scheduler all the time but have not done so in the last week. I have not seen anything about a new policy, the option is still available on the things I have in draft so my guess is potentially a glitch. If the problem continues I would contact customer support through one of the social media avenues.

Make sure it's not just hiding on the listing page.  Click the "See pricing options" button and see if it just needs to be enabled there.

Thanks!  Yes, it seems that one has to click "see pricing options" to schedule an auction in advance, although what pricing has to do with scheduling is known only to the Gods of eBay!

Re: Is scheduling an auction in advance no longer allowed?

My selling ID started two auctions yesterday, and was able to Schedule both Listings.
I only scheduled them about 20-25 minutes in the future, not like next week or next month.
But I was able to schedule  them.

I can only suggest you scroll through the listing fields again, reading slowly and carefully to find the proper field(s).

I think there is some rule about eBay Stores not being able to schedule listings, but if you are an individual  seller without a store (like my selling ID), I don't think you should be having this problem.

Well, the newbie seller that I'm mentoring has a Basic store now, and is not charged for scheduling listings.

Perhaps you're thinking of pricing in the past? I think at one time there was a 10¢ charge for scheduling by store owners, something like that, which seemed really odd since non-store owners weren't being charged anything at all for it (and still aren't).

I was unable to find that function this morning.

I was able to implement auction time scheduling on the next item I listed so I ended the auction previously listed and was then able to use the scheduling when I relisted.  I don't know why it wasn't offered as an option the first time I listed it.
