HI, I am a parent with a huge box of my kid's Pokemon cards, all loose and have been played. Is it worth having them graded and trying to sell on eBay? Where can I find out more about how to and costs of grading the cards? Thanks for your help!

Research your cards to determine approx value. See what companies grade those cards and look up their rates. Condition is critical for determing value.

See if you can find someone to help you determine which would be worth having graded. You don't want to be sending all of the cards somewhere and spending $$$.$$ only to find 1% were worth the cost of being graded.

When doing your research and comparing prices, Don't fixate on the highest priced items. If
a seller is asking $100.00 but the last 10 cards sold for $15.00-$20.00 then it's not worth $100.00
Look at the sold listings for the cards you have, to determine the true value.
Be critical on what you think they grade. Close does not count. It's "Close to mint" is not the same as
being Mint.
Read and research. All the info you need is available for you to find.

NO. Graded cards are only for cards that have been pulled from packs and never touched. Even then ONLY the rarest of rare should be graded. Do you have any idea how much it cost to grade? Basically, an arm and a leg.

If they have been played with then most likely none of them are worth grading UNLESS you have a hard to find card that brings good money. When grading any type of trading card the smallest blemish (edges and corners are not fresh and sharp) drops values significantly.
Also, if the cards are all common then your best bet will be to put them in lots and also make sure it is well stated that they were played with.

I have gotten into the habit of checking https://www.pokemonpricetracker.com before grading anything it give me a quicklook at the PSA prices and the chances of getting each grade, has been pretty helpful

I don't think it would be very practical to spend that kind of money on used & played with cards, even rare cards can lose an exceptional amount of value when they are not in mint condition, But of course the choice is yours, Good Luck whatever you decide.

Not at all. Cards that have been handled have little value.
