Does it bother anyone else but me when I purchase an item from someone, they don't leave feedback for me? I make it a point of leaving feedback either right after the buyer pays me, or I mail the item. It's sort of like when I purchase something from, say, Walmart. I always thank the cashier, or any other employee who assists me, and when I get a nod, or an "Uh huh", instead of a "Thank you" or a "You're welcome", it rubs me the wrong way.
Call me sensitive (some of you will *L*), but it's just a pet peeve of mine, being a gracious buyer AND seller.

As a seller, I leave feedback for my buyers when their purchase is delivered to their address.
As a buyer, I leave feedback for my seller when I've received my purchase, opened and examined it and found it as expected from the listing.
If I never received another feedback, I would be perfectly happy. - - And I do believe buyers are leaving feedback far less than they used to. They used to *participate* in it when they shopped eBay. It was The Thing We Do On Ebay back then, but I think so many buy so much, so often, online these days, and almost never are expected to *do feedback* that they're pretty much getting over it by now.
For a lot of buyers, it's considered a hassle. Yeah.... no, thanks.

It is not just you. There are other sellers who are just as clueless.

It's just you! ![]()
Actually many buyers feel that way, but you didn't buy feedback, you bought an item. Your feedback left for the seller is for future buyers. Your feedback as a buyer really doesn't prove anything. All buyer-only accounts will have 100% even if the are the scourge of the earth.
I enclosed a packing slip with a custom template saying thank you. I hand write a thank you note on the packing slip too. I also attach a note to the shipping notice saying thank you. Is that not enough?? Feedback is supposed to be about the transaction and not a thank you.
Don't you have a moon to bay at? or some town to terrorize? The strawberry full moon is out.
PS - I leave feedback for all of my buyers. If they leave it for me first, I try to personalize it and acknowledge theirs. If not, it's the generic 'thanks for your business'

I have absolutely no idea who has or hasn't left feedback.... and don't care..... not even a little..... it is a waste of time and energy to concern yourself with things you have no control over.... you can only control your own actions.... everything else is meaningless. Have no expectations of others, and accept what they can or are willing to give.... don't judge others by your standards, each person has traveled a different path Grasshopper... a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush..... a penny saved is a penny earned..... Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts..... But you can't hold all users responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole feedback system? And if the whole feedback system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our financial institutions in general? I put it to you, Mr Sensitive - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.
There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.

It is a minor annoyance when a seller doesn't leave feedback, but i do notice it. I leave it for my buyers after payment is rendered, and therefore appreciate when a seller i patronize does the same. There are many varying opinions on this subject, especially when it's best to leave it for the buyer. Some feel pretty strongly about it.

Feedback has evolved from being a reflection of the user's performance, either buyer or seller, to a simple thank you for the buyer. It can be annoying to post feedback and not have it reciprocated but such is the nature of the beast!
Sorry, couldn't resist that!
Thing to remember is, as a buyer, you have your widget, and as a seller, you have their money. Many on either side don't bother to leave it, some leave it first, others leave it last, and that is how it goes.

Many buyers feel that a seller is being discourteous when the seller thinks the buyer does not deserve feedback unless the buyer is satisfied with everything the seller did and shows it by leaving positive feedback for the seller.
Also, when a seller thinks a buyer has not done good enough to deserve feedback because the buyer did not pay for an auction until 3 hours after the auction ended. Or, the seller dislikes the buyer's conduct because the buyer asked a question before buying the item, etc.
I do not understand why a seller would want to let a buyer know that the seller thinks the buyer has not done good enough to deserve a feedback.
Of course, some sellers do not leave feedback because they do not want to participate in the feedback program. If a seller never leaves feedback for any buyer, then I know the seller may not have decided that I am unworthy of a positive feedback.
