So I am revising listings today, and everyone has an ebay warning that I have active content.
They say it is in my listing discripton.
The only thing I have there is the part name, pn, and model it fits.
The only other thing on the page is a TL logo, and a link to ebay's TL page.
Could it be that because you can no longer down load TL, that is it ?

I am getting the same thing. I was revising 7 listings and everyone gave me that warning. I said remove the content and save, looked at it and nothing changed.
Just more lousy programming I suppose.

Ditto that. I called CS (and talked to an American rep!) and he couldn't explain why my re-listings and "sell similars" were getting the "active content" warning, although he also said it shouldn't effect any of the information in my listings (like we haven't been told THAT before!)

@sockmonkeydave Dave, remove the TL stuff. It's the link that is likely causing the issue if it's missing the target="_blank" attribute. If you want to confirm just run your listings through ShipScript's tool.

The different tabs will show you what needs to be fixed.

I tried several tests using existing templates, unsolds, etc. They all had a defect. Editing relists of same, with only a title, still showed mobile unfriendly and needing some fix.
New from scratch listings were mobile friendly with just a title. I haven't got that far....too many beers. It seems obvious now.
It will take relisting from scratch to fix your listings.
As my brother said...get it done and get ahead of the curve. Logic.

@1786davycrockett You also need to fix the links on your listings by adding the target attribute. View the below code - the red text is what's missing. eBay's active content tool should fix it for you based on what other posters have reported.

<a href="http://stores.ebay.com/BABY-BOOMER-BONANZA" target="_blank"><img src="http://stores.shop.ebay.com/baby-boomer-bonanza?hickory=ferndoc" alt=" " border="0"></a><br><a href="http://stores.ebay.com/BABY-BOOMER-BONANZA" target="_blank">Visit My eBay Store: BABY BOOMER BONANZA</a></font></td></tr></tbody></table></div></font>

@the_fancy_fox You have 95 listings triggering the active content warning.
The reason is that you are also missing the target attribute in your links. You can either fix them using the tool you've already used, or you can remove the turbolister info at the bottom since that is the cause.

@do.you.read.me It seems you are referring to the mobile checker, not active content. They are different. If you want to discuss issues with mobile view there are several existing threads on the topic. Quickly glancing at your listing I did not see any issues in the html. You are using plain text so you should be good to go. Here is a really great post you may want to review that has a lot of great info.

It's the lowest of the low as far as forceful moves ...but I think it's real. We have to do that work to get on board to an all mobile device platform or fall behind. I'm so glad I'm not invested as a regular patient here, and I feel the plight of the ebay sickness someone was writing about over there.....
Just look at the mobile boards and authorized responses that virtually snap to attention compared to here in archaic alley...
Ebay is ramping up to pure mobile. Be ready.

Nah, i get it...but it shouldn't be so underhanded and complicated. I don't want to have to check them and their work and heir claims and their shortcomigs. This is their platform and they make money off us.
Get your bleepitybleep together. Ebay shoulda just said Look.... We need to do this. We are gonna change everything now to mobile and get on board or suffer. Instead, they destroy a lot of common expectations...and conflagration harshes all our collective buzz. This machine has too many ashes and creates constant ghosts.

I believe that logo at the bottom of your listings is exactly what is triggering the notice of active content. I also always used TL, and also have that logo at the bottom of my description page. It only triggered in the yellow active content level, so I'm not fooling with it. As the pages run their course and come due for a look-see, I'll redo them. At this point, it isn't supposed to do any harm to the listings, their visibility, or their placement in search.

Yep... it's the TL link, that Ship is a real smart guy.
I only have a hand full, may try one by hand before I go to bed.
Too late at night to go through the scanner instructions.

You can also use eBay's tool - it will add the target attribute to the links for you.

The other option is to remove all the TL stuff from the bottom since it's really not necessary.

I just revised a couple of them from the ebay revise item.
And did the mobile friendly thing. It was fast and pain free.
I only have 34 listings right now, and I need to check all of them again.
I know a bunch need to be revised.
Today for the most part I was just ending and relisting for the new start time.
