Is it just a coincidence?

I sold an automotive engine on friday, luckily the carrier I scheduled to pick it up, didn't show up. Over the weekend the customer came to the realization, that they had purchased an engine and not a transmission, even though it had pics, and was clearly described as an engine.

We have had this engine at our yard for over 5 years, and it had been on E bay every since we started selling on the platform (about 3 years).

I had the engine marked down quite a bit in price since we had had it for so long with no sales. Discounted it $200 over a year ago.

So I cancelled the order and e bay automatically re listed it for me.

2 hours later it sold again. Here's the kicker, when it re listed, it did so at the original price.

So, did it somehow magically get bumped up in positioning? I know it probably had a tag next to it saying newly listed, but, being re priced to the original price made it easily $100 more than most other listings.

Or was it just a coincidence? Opinions?
