Just got an email from eBay saying "We're shipping for free and slashing prices up to 70%" Today's deals blah blah blah
Who is "We"?
Last I thought ebay only sold advertising space. When I put something on sale "I" did it. No "We" to it.

I've suspected for a long time that they are behind those front page "deals" by that I mean they are the ones selling those items.

eBay provides World-Wide Advertising, Reliable Fast Web Presence, and a Reputation for me --- the term "WE" is absolutely correct
Yes, YOU list --- then THEY take it from there --- and most know all too well THEY can survive without YOU but the inverse is not true --- so them allowing you to be a part of "WE" is very nice ...

If it's the Daily Deals, those feature certain sellers who sign up to be part of that promotion.
So we in the sense of a group of sellers.

Since attracting tons and tons of high-volume dropshippers who sell, well, trash at rock bottom prices, eBay has gotten the idea that they can compete with Walmart and Amazon. Walmart and Amazon are of course retailers, and not anything like eBay... but that really doesn't matter if eBay can resemble Walmart and Amazon to a large enough number of consumers.
So yeah, "we" is us. eBay gets the market share and collects off of sales, and we either bear the burden of doing all the shipping and customer service work, or we find another place to sell. It's not a sustainable plan, IMO... unless eBay plans on providing us with drones at some point.

I recently got one for price matching and thought the same thing! Don't know if it was a beta test or what but evidently eBay is now price matching Amazon and other retailers....

I see this on the front page right now:
"80% of What We Sell Is 100% New. Unused. Unworn. Untouched. Shop home, tech, and more."
'What WE sell' ???
