I've been with eBay since 1999 and have seen many changes and stayed through it all.
However, three things are really getting to me the last few years and eBay just doesn't seem to give a F about it.
1) Since this new few schedule has been in place, it's rather clunky and fees are usually too much - though I read the schedule of them. Many times, the shipping cost gets taken along with a percent of what the item sold for, do I have to eat the cost of shipping many times and I cannot get to use a discounted rate more often than not. Thus, I'd be lucky to end up with 50% of what the item sold for in my pocket.
2) Getting rid of PayPal (again) was a dumb thing from eBay; but when they were together and a seller had to pay two separate fees, wouldn't that be considered double-dipping?
3) There are a few sellers I've come across here and reported them but eBay won't do anything about it and when I ask for a follow-up, Im told they cannot do that because it violates everyone's privacy...and they wouldn't even comment on the suspicious nature of one particular seller; including the outrageous prices on their items.
Yes, there are more aggravating things on my list.
It really seems all eBay cares about is the money anymore.

Thanks for your 2 cents.

And here's 2 more "cents":
“Warren Buffett selling $8 billion worth of stock is a rounding error in his portfolio,” O’Leary posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “He’s just trying to stay diversified which is why the market doesn’t care that much about it.”
Speaking to Fox News, O’Leary elaborated, saying Buffett selling $8 billion is “almost meaningless.” “My bet is that sale is actually one of his new managers just trimming a portfolio.”
You do realize that Berkshire Hathaway is worth over 800 Billion?
And 8 Billion is a paltry 1% of that?
Yeah.

Why would ebay care. They will suck every dollar out of sellers for as long as they can. And if by chance you leave ebay. Well there is 20 China sellers to take your place. But lets be honest. Most sellers complain. But no one ever leaves. I love their Ebay open and monthly checkins. Where some marketing chick is live saying. Hi gang. We are all in this together. Blah Blah Blah. There has always been. Scammy sellers and scammy buyers.
Ebay did away with scammy selleres with money back guarantee. But they opened the door and cultivated millions of scammy buyers. There is not much they cant do and get away with. Ebay at least used to have a call me back phone number so i could state my case if I am getting ripped off by someone. but now they have gotten rid of all numbers and you cant talk to anyone live. You just have to deal with the interactive chat that sends you to their help answers that are no help. If all that does not scream. we dont give a sh*t about you. I dont know what does. I love Ebay. I hate Ebay the company

Oh to have 8 billion be "just a rounding error".

Fox News? Maybe Warren Buffet is looking through his coin collection and going to resale it on eBay? 2 cents. That's copper not silver. Except if you had some penny's that are from left over from the war era. I'm glad to see some sellers are doing well. Warren Buffet will always do well. So, they say it's all eBay's fault.

Ebay is losing buyers in some categories and gaining buyers in some categories.
There is a large portion of the population which thinks of Ebay as the Ebay of 20+ years ago when buyers were mistreated, intimidated and cheated without any effort by Ebay to meaningfully police the site.
In the past, there were other marketplaces where sellers could make more selling the same items and do less work to do so. It is hard to sell many items which sell on Ebay on some of these marketplaces, and even harder to get a higher price. Ebay is still marginally cheaper to sell on. Ebay is now less effort to sell on than it was due to good until cancelled listings. And even though there are more buyer safeguards on Ebay than there were, there is less red tape required to sell here.
The world is more complex than it was. Buyers protection is a greater requirement. And unlike many other marketplaces Ebay is totally dependent on 3P sellers.
There are no other marketplaces left which are as loosy goosy as Ebay used to be. And there are more sellers trying to make money trying to sell low cost items. Ebay is not a great mass market site where many thousands of sellers can sell the same readily available, low profit items in immense volume.

I just heard and read that inflation REALLY is 16.1%. Go to the grocery store and you can see this. Of course the current administration will not agree. They have big enough paychecks, bank acts and investments that they don't care.

Off the subject,
1943 D Lincoln Penny Sold for $1,700,000 dollars. Just think if you had 2 of those.

Your perception is accurate. eBay has become a complete siphon jet.
Censor me for siphon jet kh_anyone - I dare you.

A constant and steady drip.
It still is better than the next best place to sell on-line but that won't last forever.

Well, all and all sounds like it's time to pass out the Charmin?

Whose saying inflation is at 16.1%?
My local grocery store prices are down quite a bit since this time last year. As well as most other things.
The best way to combat inflation is to make your time worth more. Whether that means switching jobs, getting a second job etc...
Another thing that helps is getting out of debt and lowering your monthly expenses to as low as you can.
Debt holds most people back.
time to start making more money.
