The last month that I actually made some good money was in July or August. Since then, I might sell two or maybe three items a week, on a good week. And the good weeks are sometimes far in-between. I've tried listing things various different ways, lowering the prices, and all that. Still, items just sit there. Is anyone else having trouble just making a decent profit?

Sales are great for me since December. I had two really big sales lately 44 items and 65 items. I do ship world wide. Sold 12 items in the last hour. You need to see what your compeitors are doing and think on finding more in demand items to list

Mid January was AMAZING for me, but it recently dropped off a cliff

I go for days without selling anything! Right now I'm going on 6 days without a sale!
😞 I'm so tired of it!

Hi, @bkhammobooks .
I had a look at your items, and one thing you could improve would be photos. It looks like maybe you are using a webcam to take them maybe? I'd recommend investing in a digital camera or you could use a smartphone to take photos. Put the book on a clean, solid color background and then take your photo. Having your face in most of your photos like the one below may turn off a lot of buyers.

What is your definition of a "decent" profit?
On many of my least expensive items, my profit is a minimum of 400%. While that certainly is a hugely "decent" profit, in reality it wouldn't buy a cup of Starbucks.
Perhaps what you're actually referring to is multiple huge sales?

I agree about the photos.
Even if we're not mentioning seeing the seller, himself in the pics..
I can't even read anything on the covers of the book.
A lot of information being lost that way for prospective buyers.

My sales are currently fair, but I'm making a great profit.

And are we asking about:
A decent profit per item?
or a decent profit per month?
I guess if someone buys a book for fifty cents and sells it here for 15 dollars, that's a good profit.
But if someone can only sell 5 books a month.. well...
50 or 60 dollars isn't a very good monthly profit.
Someone recently mentioned on this board,
that to make a good monthly income here,
you have to list some expensive items, which net you hundreds of dollars each.
Sure, you can make a bit of money with small listings...
but the real profit for the month will be the higher dollar sales.

Since all the changes last spring, no. My sales are off 80% since then. No matter what I do it doesn't matter.

Redo your photos, this time with out a person in them, and I'm pretty sure selling Mien Kampf violates the Nazi items policy.

Just a guess, but since there are so many sellers still here, I would say they are making a decent profit. Still, there have been numerous threads about slow or no sales, hidden listings, closing my store, etc.
