Tax software is all over the place in pricing depending on how and where you purchase software or if you use online or download or use the APP. There are many versions of Turbotax, for example.
A question like "is it still free" is nearly impossible to answer without details. Perhaps you could contact Intuit?

Hi @haji211 welcome to the Selling forum.
By any chance, did you read the intuit service terms before/after clicking the link? Did you input a credit card? I ask because Intuit services like Turbo Tax do not appear to be free for users in North America. Where are you located?
I went to the Intuit web page. To file income taxes here in the United States or Canada, one must use Turbo Tax (an Intuit product). The fee schedule was in the $100+ range.
I’d suggest you go right to the website to see for yourself. It is hard to know whether the info one receives online thru anonymous sources is reliable. Even though i have found the eBay community to be always quite trustworthy and helpful, matters of this importance usually require the utmost dependability. Good luck.

US. Weird because it was free last year. I have no schedules. Just a basic return. I"ll pay the 98. 40 fee is waived if using credit card. Basically just curious if something changed that I missed. According to their tos I qualify. Again just curious. THX.

There is a Turbo Tax Free Edition for simple 1040 tax filing.
However, if you have to add expenses from an independent contractor gig, or if you received any income from interest or stocks, or a number of other situations, then there will be a fee. There are different levels of fees based on your filing situation.

I have none of those things. That is why I was wondering if something changed. According to what I read on their site it should be free. Nothing is different from last year when I filed for free. THX.

It says on their website that turbo tax is free for Federal and State returns. That might be for straight up, uncomplicated filings though, like a 1040EZ. Once you start adding in business Forms and Schedules it could go up, I would think. Read the small print on there! (I don't want to sign up just to see.)
If you are asking about their credit card processing services, then yes, they do charge for that, per transaction.
