Is Anything Selling Right Now?

Just curious with everyone at home, so much time but no money, if anything is actually selling - beyond essential supplies? What successes have you had??

@gooseberrygoods   First, a good % of our population is retired and have already worked out their "pleasure" spending budgets based on retirement plans, social security, pensions, etc.  They are still able to purchase what they want within their budget.

Things that are selling are things people can do or use at home.

So, these two quarantined groups are buying things like crafts, models, games, needle point, books to read, tools needed, various hobby items, etc.  Think in terms of what people can do while stuck at home ...

I'm a small seller... I sell mainly ball caps. I'm having a bit of luck, and hoping for a bit more!

Have had 2 sales this month & very pleased. I sell OOAK's & collectibles. Stuff nobody needs, just to add to their collections. Feel very fortunate but wish I had items people really do need now. Things that eBay will allow us to sell. Seems like everything is being banned lately! Or pulled for price gouging like the fella with a very rare video game. He asked a fair price for a game that's rare & no longer made. They said he was price gouging! Jeez, kinda makes you leery to list or even buy now. Lot's of folks have bought items only to have eBay kill them & return payment.

Lately my Easter-related stuff has still been selling, which makes sense-- people want to keep at least a small sense of normalcy, and celebrating the holiday helps do that.

Clothing isn't selling much for me right now here, but elsewhere it's selling fine.

My GPK cards are selling a comic here and there as well.

My sales are slower than normal.  But still selling some.  I hope all this virus stuff will end soon.  I still make sales. Just not as many.  I went from in Feb. + 187 % to   Mar. - 47 % on the market.  Of Fire Starter and Grilling Wood.  Say things will pick up.  I sure hope so I went to - 49 % today.  Hope you the best. Is anything selling right now? Yes

Is anything selling on ebay right now? No.

I don't believe the lack of sales on ebay has anything to do with the global crisis since sales on ALL other platforms are chugging along just fine.

I sell inexpensive handmade ornaments and my sales are up 62.6% compared to this time last year.  I feel very blessed because all of the shows that I normally do have been cancelled.

Wow, this was so interesting to read. Thank you all for the great replies, it really gives an insight into what is going on. I know for me I have been spending a lot of time looking at seriously non-essential items, things that are fun. I think we all need that right now. Great replies, thank you all!!

Vacuum tubes are selling very well, even expensive pieces.  Audio hobbyists are working on restorations of equipment, or installing different tubes in their existing audio pieces while they pass the time listening to music.

The books I am selling right now on ebay are low-price but then again....they are worth fairly low price. Expensive books have been selling well on Amazon.

My plan is to resume listing a lot of auctions this month since they are free and I have a new storage unit which I can fill with boxes! I had to get one because I was filling up my daughter's room with the boxes and she was kicked out of college a couple of weeks ago. So great to have her home.
