Hi,
My buyer asked me to revise his invoice (selling price and shipping price but the same total sale price)
he paid and I didn't send the item yet but, I can't find a way to do that.
I am a new seller can someone help?

When you go to your invoice, there is a option for adjustments, discount or charge. You can adjust it there.

Why?

I was also wondering what possible benefit there would be in doing this ? or rather wanting it done

I was wrong here. You cannot adjust it after the buyer has paid. As you cannot send an invoice after it's paid. It is then the packing slip or receipt and that is not adjustable.

I think it might be something with the customs in their country.....
I am not sure....

You could be on to something. Maybe the VAT is calculated on the item price but not the shipping?

Pretty sure VAT is the same as our GST - Goods AND Service, so think freight will be taxed also.
Canada has VAT and they have it on shipping as well, what country was buyer from?
Just interested now

Also, just a thought, if you can not change the invoice, when you do the customs dec form you could just put in the item price (not the shipping cost) that should not be breaking any laws.

There is no reason to adjust a paid invoice. And it would not even be possible.
the buyer needs to PAY the total invoice.

It sounds like the buyer is attempting to get around customs charges, and wants you to “adjust” (falsify) the amounts paid. I would be very uncomfortable doing this, though some believe such practice is harmless.
But the fact is that circumventing customs duty or taxes by putting in amounts different than the actual costs is against the law. Plus you are certifying the information on your end is correct.
Also consider that when printing out the eBay shipping label for an international sale, the transaction details are automatically populated on the shipping form for customs purposes. That includes things like the item name, the price, weight, date, etc. You would have to manually change the values on the label to fulfill your buyer’s request. Giving that you are still in the eBay learning curve, i would not advise you to alter those details.
I know this places you between the rock and the hard place with your buyer.
Below is a link to eBay’s Help page on international shipping and customs info that you might find helpful. Good luck to you in your decision, and congrats on your sale.
PS—i don’t see a recent sale for you on this ID. What item is it? Is it on another ID? You are selling pricey things as a new seller. That can attract scam artists. So please make sure the buyer has actually paid. Don’t click links in messages to find proof of payment, but please check that the funds are there before shipping.

Oh rats, this thread is a month old. Didn't catch the date.

I wouldn't honor his request ... but if you want to, just type up a phony "invoice" on a word document or something similar.
