I was wondering if someone could tell me why I have just been charged a substantial amount on an invoice. I have been a ebay seller for years now and never receive one of these. The products just sold were not posted using any special info (international or otherwise) so I'm not sure why this is being sent to me. They are also charging me for shipping (on the invoice) which I paid for myself when the item was puchased and sent. If I knew I was going to be charged this much for selling something I would have sold it on facebook or something instead for free.
HELP!

Hello @nonaknows1965
Without seeing your invoice nobody here can advise specifics for you. This is a member-to-member forum.
Based on the items you recently sold at the minimum your invoice would contain the following:
$400 phone x 10% Final Value Fee = $40.00
$350 phone x 10% Final Value Fee = $35.00
Total $75.00 eBay fees. (This does not include PayPal fees)
How much is your actual invoice for?
How did you ship the items? Are you seeing charges for Shipping FVF? Your listings note free shipping so not sure where that's coming in to play...

What exactly does your invoice say?
You do know you have to pay 10% final value fees on those 400.00 and 350.00 dollar phones,
right?

I must be ever-so-slightly off kilter. I can find no items sold on this ID; feedback received is more than a year old. Ok. Another ID? If you've been an ebay seller for years and never received a monthly invoice.........uh, don't think that would slide by the ebay folks being you need confirmed methods of payment registered in order just to list, let alone sell. And, never heard of a yearly invoice?? And, it's not like you can just send them a check???
Maybe ebays search work is messin' with my not seeing anything sold recently??
Could also be a bad crow drumstick??

I bought the label threw ebay and paid for it threw my paypal account. Printed it out as I always did. Is there a reason why they would be charging me another fee higher than what I originally paid for shipping? Something just doesn't seem right here.

Thanks for responding. The invoice is for $88.00 and it includes a shipping fee which I paid on my own threw paypal. I have sold one phone and gotten paid. The second phone was purchased from a fraudulent buyer and I never got paid for it. I am being charged for a product that is stolen from me and paypal is investigating the entire thing. Ebay was the one who let me know about the fake purchase that was a stolen account. I am baffled by this entire bill and what has gone on with what the charges are for and not getting paid for my merchandise that was stolen from me.

Yes, yet I have only gotten paid for one phone that I sold. I had a return the first time and then someone fraudulently bought the second and have not seen a penny from the second phone. I paid for shipping myself threw paypal. I should only be charged for the one phone that I sold and gotten paid for correct?

eBay charges a Final Value Fee based on the TOTAL sales amount, including shipping.
The FVF is broken down on your invoice into 2 separate line items, item and shipping.
So on your $400 phone, you will see 2 invoice lines:
FVF (item price $400) = $40
FVF (shipping price $YY) = 10% of YY

I am wondering if this is where the shipping charges you are mentioning is coming from.

And if the second phone was NOT paid for, an Unpaid Item Dispute needs to be opened and closed to get the FVF refunded.

FVF is charged when a listing ends in a sale, whether or not the buyer pays. In order to get credited for the fees, a UID needs to be filed.
If it has been less than 32 days since the sale of that one, open the UID now and close it in 96 hours.

Unless you filed an Unpaid item request on the unpaid for phone, you are billed the fvf..... ebay assumes a buyer pays for it, unless you correct that.
Exactly how much is the shipping charge? There is a shipping fvf and I think some of us are wondering if that's what you are seeing? Tho $13 fvf is quite a lot of fvf.......
