Invoice vs Financial Statement

I have called eBay three times. 

Just got hung up on after being on the phone for 45 minutes. 

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the invoice and financial statement?

Invoice  has shipping fees which is only UPS/FEDEX/ return shipping labels

Financial statement has "shipping labels" - What shipping labels?

All my eBay shipping labels are billed through PayPal which is a totally different number than that eBay is showing me. 

I'm totally lost and need help!

Again.. I have called eBay and spoke to many people and no one can help or explain the invoice or financial statement.

An eBay "statement" is like a bank statement, it has debits & credits and an opening and closing balance.

An invoice on the other hand has debits only, currently those debits are for listing fees, subscription fees and UPS/FedEx shipping charges (USPS is "billed" immediately from your available balance or other method of your choice).

The Invoice will be going away soon and all charges will be taken from your available funds or backup payment method. During the transition period it's a little less clear on what the differences are.
