Invoice request

The winning bidder on an item I had listed lives in Italy.  He requested me to send him an invoice.  Isn't all the information he needs on eBay or pay pal.  Doe he need an invoice?

Thanks

Invoice request

All the seller has to do is go to My eBay and under "Orders" find the sale. "Send Invoice" will be right next to it.

Up to 8 weeks in normal times is how long it can take an item to be delivered in Italy. I know because the last item I sent took over two months to deliver. Fortunately the buyer never asked where his item was before it was delivered.

Some companies need an invoice before they pay for such a purchase. Also with an invoice you can send the exact shipping amount. Send the buyer the invoice. I have sent three already this week. They all paid after receiving it. One was for a company and another was a buyer who wanted combined shipping.

@rufe49   If you have International shipping set up to sell to Italy AND you go to the Sold item and there is NO Send invoice button active then the Buyer should have record of the invoice in their eBay-PayPal records.

I will caution you though ... Italy has one of THE WORST postal systems in Europe and add the Covid-19 pandemic and who knows how long it will take the item to the Buyer once it hits the Italian mainland.  I sold a Zippo lighter to a Buyer there and 2 weeks after it arrived in the country it still was NOT delivered.  I messaged the Buyer with my concerns and they said that was not unusual and he figured he would see it in a couple of weeks ... in checking the map it was only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the port of entry to the Buyer's home town ... 3 to 4 weeks total??? are you kidding me????

You don't have international shipping set up on your listings so the buyer can't pay unless you send an invoice with a shipping cost to Italy. If you don't want to ship to Italy, you can cancel using problem with buyer's address since you don't specify Italy as a ship to location.

I can't sell in Italy.    But I do send out invoices on a regular basis.    Especially if the buyer

wants more than one item and I can combine on shipping when I invoice.
