Hi I'm from Sri Lanka. I want to sell my laptop which is roughly around 2 KG. I contacted a few shipping agencies which quoted shipping cost of $100. The laptop alone is worth around $150. Please help me. I want to start selling on eBay. Shipping from Sri Lanka seems to be a problem.

Good morning

There are a few things you need to do:

Did you link your bank account to Payoneer?

Did you register your account with your country of Sri Lanka as a business?

Did you apply and obtain a business license to sell on Ebay? Very important

Did Ebay send you an email saying that you are approved?

If not, this is what you need to do.

 You cannot just decide you want to sell something and then try to sell it. There are requirements and protocols for all sellers. You should also consider this:

A valuable tool that all new would be sellers should check into and apply.  Good luck should you choose to enroll

If you are having problems shipping out of SL for what ever reasons,  you should try to sell your laptop locally.

     ckimodog provided a pretty good outline for what you need to do to get setup to start selling. Be aware that as a new seller you will be a target for the scammers out there and the love high dollar, high target items like cell phones, computers and other electronics. You may be better off trying to sell the laptop locally and start with some lower dollar items that you have in your possession that will be less of a target for the scammers. 

     As a seller on eBay remember the number 1 rule and that is never list anything you are not prepared to take the financial loss on.
