I’ve been selling international for a few months now and 75% of what I sale has a return case opened for it. Mind you I only sale brand new items internationally and the buyers always claim that they are faulty. Once or twice maybe a coincidence but this is a ridiculous amount at this point. Has anyone else experienced this? eBay is obviously no help as they truly do not care about the sellers.
just curious if this is an ongoing thing where buyers take advantage of the high return shipping to keep the items for free

I haven't found anything other than collectibles to be worth selling internationally and even then Europe and Japan only. I wouldn't sell anything new overseas, not worth the increased risk or the increased final value fees on the more expensive shipping.

Some of my best buyers were from Russia and Ukraine before the blocks.
China is also one of my best buyers.
I usually have more International Buyers than domestic.
I don't know what you sell...maybe your descriptions are not accurate. Just thinking here.
The buyer looks for anything in the description that doesn't fit the item. Which they want a refund.
Better to have a long description of item than a short one.
Usually should take photos of each item and not use duplicate photos even if item
is the same. Some buyers will look for something to get a refund.
Very good descriptions and photos are the way to go.

I stopped shipping international years and years ago. It was just not worth the headache nor the risks. I do occasionally allow international sales on a very, very few select items that I know sell for more in a specific country, such as some vintage clothing that sells for twice as much in Japan as here in the US.

I would stop selling everyday commodities overseas.

I only see 2 items sold by you on this id. Care to share the id that actually has the sales so we all can see and give feedback to your thread?
