International Shipping Question

What is the difference between Ebay International Delivery and Ebays Global Shipping Program? They sound like the same thing to me. You have an international package to mail but first have to mail it to a domestic warehouse and then ebay takes care of the rest for both services. Im wondering bc it seems like a lot of international buyers dont like the global shipping program but I havent heard much about Ebay International Delivery.

There are a few help pages to explain even more...but the 2 main differences in my simple view are:

1. Global Shipping provides the buyer a payment that covers the shipment door-to-door (Item+Shipping+Customs Fees+ any other associated fees) all in one transaction.......some customers prefer this......International Shipping does not offer this convenience of fee collection

2. Seller Protection----With Global Shipping once the parcel is delivered to Erlanger, your responsibility is fullfilled. You are covered for any loss or misdirection from Erlanger to Buyer.....International Shipping does not provide door-to-door coverage for you....

I think my observations are correct.....please double check

So if you do USPS direct international or eBay international the customer has not paid for custom fees and any other associated fees when they pay for your item? All they have paid for is shipping itself correct? Just trying to make sure I am understanding. And once you ship the item out direct or ebay international how to all the custom fees get paid? I will also make sure to look up the help pages. Thank you!
