I read on other boards about the impact of inflation taking a hit on sales. I think sales are down right now for the season, but people should seek ebay as a source to compete with rising retail prices - for the resourceful. Things like clothes, bikes, cars, computers, tvs can be good sellers when new units are ridiculously priced. I've sold many items like that but you have to prove that it's a valid alternative - pics of operation, cleanliness, functionality.

Clothing is a saturated category on eBay and while I agree with the rest, the sad thing about eBay is that sellers won't list an item they can't afford to lose because.......... well, with the lack of seller protection, they can lose a lot.

Depends on what you are selling. Many items fraud-magnets.

Holiday consumer spending is up 8.5% - people just pretty much shrugging it off.
Having said that, I've always believed that 'repair and reuse' and buying used is a better deal.

50% of the holiday spending is bezos hiring a divorce attorney and opening up a warehouse within his ego.

I increased Inventory 100% since last year. Men's clothing sales increased 10% since last year by amount of items sold. Inflation has allowed me to sell items 30-40% more profit than last year. It's almost a wash as I invested so much to only sell 10% more items. I wish I had more room to store my inventory so I could wait on higher prices for my items. Supply and demand will take hold eventually and then we can see where we all sit. The pandemic is the monkey wrench right now.
