It has become increasingly Impossible to try to operate a business properly on this platform, To properly support a business, you need a certain amount of sales to put back into the business, such as inventory, supplies, & multiple other expenses, & that is not happening here, not anymore, I feel I am being strong armed into increasing PL's & offering free shipping & free returns, & If I do not succumb my sales will forever be suppressed, Not what I signed up for when i started!!

I see a lot of good 'stuff' going for peanuts on auctions right now.
If you have the spare cash to spend on inventory, now's the time.

@yuzuha is making a valid point @meme6253 . I get where you are coming from, but so long as other people will under sell you, your stuff isn't likely to move.
You got three options in an instance like this
1 Lower your price
2 sit and wait however long it might take (maybe never)
3 spread out to other places in addition to here.
Again, I get what you are saying. I'm closing my store soon, and I'm still not willing to lower prices to a fire sale in my situation. If I am going to take a beating, it's going to be in an auction where I get rid of EVERYTHING. Not just letting a couple of things go to move it. But unless you are willing to sit on it for however long, you are going to need to do something. Being mad and complaining isn't going to make it sell.

Ok I have been here 24 years SUFFERED through every irrational change and policies they can come up with.I have dealt with it because my sales were very good throughout these past years. We just did out taxes and I'm about to barf...the money this place took from me this year was pathetic and they just want more and more by these promotions and the loss of sale due it. I buy off a supplier I get a straight discount ..I take minimum 10% off here to compete with other sellers... 12.5% off for fees & more if PmL.. try to keep my shipping low as possible..& then figure the cost of doing business ....I cant live on 10% profit. I'm an artist with various skills I think I will start selling on etsy and use my god given gifts as an artist to sell al least my profit will be better than 10% or less.. I stopped Airbrushing cars & bikes because people were not doing it much in the 90's around this area. Then started a hobby shop part time which grew into a full time business. I even shut my website down because Ebay outsold it by 3-1 at least maybe more...Days have changed my friends. People here are over demanding and angry. I'm 56 I don't need (more like don't want to) to boot lick to get a sale here anymore. My days are numbered on this site for sure

Do what many other sellers are doing: cross-posting. There are tools out there that can manage the cross-posting logistics, for a monthly or yearly fee.
The road forward indicates that we take advantage of the greater number of e-commerce sites. Don't leave Ebay, instead take advantage of what they can offer you, in terms of diversification.
More eye balls usually means more sells.

@meme6253 wrote:I understand the market, But your missing the point!!, There are an extremely large amount of sellers not even going by market or no where even close!!!, They are desperately seeking a sale, They are liquidating their Inventory , Because they are trying to get out of here, They want to leave because of the way things are, & I am not going to compete with That!!!, Not At All!!!, & Then there are the ones that do not have a clue as to what they have, or how to grade it or price it, They just got it somewhere & want to sell it, but did NO research of any kind, & Actually it is ALL OF THE ABOVE that is DRIVING DOWN the market!
Sadly, whether you like it or not, you ARE competing with 'that' - there is no way around it. I've been through it, loads of people have been through it. And it is nothing new. I'm mostly in clothing and electronics and have to deal with the fact that lots of people just "get something somewhere and want to sell it", as you say (which is true). In clothing, for instance, people might go to the Goodwill Bins, buy up whatever without much inspection and "throw it up" (as some say) on here, and they can sell cheap because they do this. I can't compete with that, so I'm always changing what I accept on consignments, what I sell, how I price it. Just because I don't want to compete with that doesn't mean I won't or can't. Unfortunately, we don't get gold stars here for provenance, we just get sales, or we don't get sales. 😕 And yeah, it can be very frustrating.

@coolections wrote:@meme6253 You are in such an oversaturated category it is hard to research for you. The very first one though, I found your problem. You have a squiggly line in front of the word "bone". No one would ever use a squiggly line when search and Ebay thinks that is part of your word. Go back and remove all the fancy lines and such in your titles and also make them with less words. Too much stuff for a buyer to find. If someone wants a custom classic bone shaker that is ALL they will ever type.
@meme6253 agree with @coolections
Remove the tilde ~
Talk about messing with the search engines. You are kicking yourself with random characters in your titles and descriptions.

Not Showing Listings Is The Same As Suppressing Them!

The squiggle is the same as a dash or comma, It has never made a difference, even recently I can find a ton of my listings without using the squiggle, It's just a way to use some separation, However there are a ton I can't!, About 50/50, Therefore hiding & or suppression!!

@meme6253 Tell us what you believe Ebay is hiding from buyers so we can see for ourselves. I've asked several times, but you insist Ebay hides your stuff without let us prove your theory. I can tell you I have never not found an item I have listed in 24 years.

I can't stand the denial happening here!, It reminds me of the politics that I find disgusting!, Like we don't have brains & can't figure things out for ourselves!, Here is an example for you I have two listings for barbie hot wheels one is brand new & promoted, Can't find them!
04-17-2023 04:08 PM
Considering there's 2,100 listings for "barbie hot wheels" I'd say that's not surprising.

eBay is so overcrowded at this point I'm amazed people can find anything, but they do, though sometimes I have to go through Google to find it.
